Being playing 40k since 1999 and has mainly been good old Space Marines and sometimes guard. Have had a sizeable Dark Angels army and a Word Bearers force. But now i've decided to give my all and try and get a White Scars army up and running. I have never been a big fan of working from a white undercoat but it makes this task far easier than trying to do it with a black one. First up we have the shot of the Tactical Squad all built up. Sgt. Tiberus Satio Posted December 29, 2011 Share Posted December 29, 2011 I've had tremendous success with using codex grey or fortress grey as a base coat then adding white mixtures. My whites fairly easy to achieve, SW grey wash over white undercoat. shadow grey wash in the recesses, followed by a fenris grey wash again in recesses, then just a bit of tidying up with skull white after wards. Planned for my 1500pt list i have 2 squads of bikers, 3 landspeeders, including that tactical squad 2 with rhinos, commander on bike, librarian and a predator and techmarine as i had points to spare. Not just helmet and legs though. Going to do some on arms too. As you can tell the flesh on this guy has changed since the above pic was taken. I decided to use my old Bronzed Flesh technique.
