Kassill
Greetings brothers of the Fang! Take a seat and have an ale! Tonight's topic, the expansion of the Great Company of Thorimir Kingslayer! (name not official yet) Firstly, I shall name what I have and I would like feedback on what next to get. Have 1x Rune Priest in Runic Armor 1x Wolf Priest in Runic Armor 20x Grey Hunters with attached Wolf Guard 7x Power Armored Wolf Guard with mixed CC weaponry 5x half assembled Thunder Wolves 1x half assembled Thunder Wolf Lord with Fen wolves 1x Iron Priest on Thunder Wolf with cyber wolves 1x Rhino 1x Land Raider with no weapons (somehow lost them, so will probably just get the Crusader sprue) 1 Dakka Pred 1x Vindicator (2 more on sprues somewhere in the boxes from when we moved) 2x unassembled Drop Pods 5x Wolf Scouts 1x Njal Stormcaller and enough bits to make a 6 man Long Fangs pack with 5 Missile Launchers Okay, firstly I know I need more Grey Hunters definitely. But, I would also like to get their mode of transportation as well. I was wondering, should I get: -SW BF (would give me 2 more GH packs and another drop pod, and some more wolf scouts, which would give me 3 DP's and a rhino so far as transports for 40 GH's) + another Drop Pod kit or -2x Grey Hunter Boxes and 3 Razorback kits (can be rhinos) which would give me 40 GH's and 4 rhino transports ??? I do know I definitely plan on getting the SW accessory sprue to use with current bits to finish off my T-Wolf Lord and T-Wolf Riders. All help very much appreciated! Orphus
What do you plan on doing with the Grey Hunters in Razorbacks? If you buy two boxes of Grey Hunters will you be having them in minimum packs to fit? Don't forget you still have two drop pods to use. Generally, Razorbacks are a tool to be used by Long Fangs however it could be used as a shield during take and hold objectives... No, I'm just getting the Razorback kits so that If later down that road I decide I want Razorback, all I have to do is swap out the top piece (which wont be glued), so essentially I'm buying a rhino that comes with some extra bits. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/244376-expanding-the-company/#findComment-2954208 Share on other sites
Kassill
Well.... I couldn't wait brothers. I ended up ordering the Battleforce, a drop pod, SW accessory frame, and the LRC upgrade frame. The Company has been reinforced. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/244376-expanding-the-company/#findComment-2954228 Share on other sites
Wulfebane
Another 1-2 scout packs, 1-3 LF packs, 15 BCs (10 w/ magnetized jump packs), a Bjorn counts-as, and a handful of fen. wolves for wargear. Not basing it off anything fluffy, just what is missing to make it relatively all-comers. Left out bikers and speeders, since those are generally more a personal taste for players, even though I absolutely love my speeders. Yeah, BC and more Long Fangs will be the next things on the list definitely. I just went ahead and nailed down a solid core of troops in the form of Grey Hunters. Not big on Speeders and bikes personally, but might get some way down the road just to have em whenever the want arises. Thanks Wulf!
