Student Of Dorn
I was talking to a friend about what if you could make a chess set over the heresy and i was thinking who you guys think should be what? The only ones we could agree on is: Loyalist Primarch Rook 1: Rogal Dorn Rook 2: Knight 1: Jaghatai Khan Knight 2: Bishop 1: Bishop 2: King: Queen: Pawns: Traitor Primarch Rook 1: Perturabo Rook 2: Knight 1: Knight 2: Bishop 1: Bishop 2: King: Horus Queen: Pawns:Alpharius Omegon Who does you guys think should be what? Olis
Pawns should be space marines, I think. For the Loyalists they could be Ultramarines (oh the irony) and the Rebels could have Alpha Legionnaires. :) Oh and the Loyalist King should be the Emperor. No if's, but's or maybe's. Iron Lord
I'd put the artificer Primarchs (Ferrus and Vulkan) as the loyalist rooks. Primarchs with jump-packs/flight (Sanguinius, Corax)- maybe knights? Dorn and Guilliman could be the King and Queen- as commanders of all other loyalist primarchs before and after the Heresy. That leaves Khan, Jonson and Russ. Maybe Russ and Jonson could be bishops- rivals, each confined to different coloured squares, with Khan as the pawns? On the other side- Horus as Queen, Lorgar as King (one of the weakest primarchs, yet the one whose machinations turned Horus) Perturabo and Mortarion as rooks- tough. Curze and Alpharius as knights- sneaky, can attack pieces without being open to attack in return. Fulgrim and Angron as bishops- opposite in nature, yet both dangerous on the attack Magnus as pawns (since he was manipulated into joining the rest). Conn Eremon
My ideas would be: King: Guilliman Queen: Sanguinius Knight 2: Lion El'Jonson Rook 2: Vulkan Bishop 1: Leman Russ Bishop 2: Corax Pawns: . . . Guilliman fits better here, as the Ultramarines, but . . . No idea who would be King, then. Still would need a place for Ferrus Manus, possibly to replace whoever is moved to the King slot. Rook 1: Perturabo Rook 2: Mortarion Knight 1: Curze/Night Haunter Knight 2: Angron Bishop 1: Lorgar Bishop 2: Magnus the Red King: Horus Queen: Fulgrim Pawns: Alpharius Omegon Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/244627-primarch-chess/#findComment-2957485 Share on other sites
Marshal Rohr
Loyalists: Rooks: The Lion and Leman Russ Why? Straight forward Commanders. Clinical in execution. Knights: Jaghatai Khan and Corax Why? Asymmetrical in nature. Bishops: Dorn and Guilliman Why? The most devoted of the Loyalists. Queen: Sanguinius Why? He's the Emperor's Archangel. Traitors: Rooks: Perturabo and Mortarion Knights: Fulgrim and Angron Bishops: Lorgar and Kurze Queen: Alpharius Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/244627-primarch-chess/#findComment-2957591 Share on other sites
