Inquisitor Fox
Thats um... because we practice plausible deniability and have to pretend some things never happened to maintain our air of secrecy? ;) But in all honesty.. yeah.. ouch.. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/244633-the-2012-librarium-painting-challenge/page/2/#findComment-3032371 Share on other sites
JamesI
Hmm, I know at leat one GK player finished his vow and isn't listed there (Ceasarian). I know he's done, I've seen the models (his stuff is part of my Adepticon team tournament team) but perhaps he forgot to post in the LPC thread. Jacinda
I have been debating about what I want to do with my Sisters and I have been waffling in indecision this whole year. So far I have painted 3 Deathwing squads, 4 Ravinwing bikes, 12 DA marines and a few other bits I am probably forgetting. None of those are what I play. I have painted a few "prototype" sisters while trying to decide what I want to do. You see, between a few trades and buying new stuff, only about 66% of my Sisters are painted now. I have also been doing some conversions on my vehicles so that all the Immolators are the new models and the Rhinos are the old smaller models -- the version with the small bent over exhaust pipes at the top. So now most of my tanks are not painted either. So do I finish painting the army and stay with Order of Our Martyred Lady -- which is the most common painting scheme I see -- or do I strip the rest and repaint with my homemade order? White armor is harder to paint than black and if I stay with the current theme there is a lot less work involved. On the other hand, if I do go with the new colors, I could leave the painted vehicles as they are for the most part and just add the Order’s colors to the flure-de-les and hatches. I certainly do not want to completely repaint the exorcists. Also, even if I repaint, the Repentia will keep their red rags and the DCA will keep their black leather. Black and red or purple and white? My mind changes almost hourly. And so I paint more Dark Angels while I wait. I have yet to even play DA; I just think the robes are cool. I want to paint the Sister purple, but the more I think about the 120 or so red and black figures I would have to strip it makes me balk at the chore. Besides, purple is my roommate's favorite, not mine. I like red. So ... I did not even make a vow. Maybe I should have gone with a simple one like painting a second Battle Conclave since they are not dependant on the order's colors.
