I promise to provide at least two WIP updates, preferably with pictures, in that time. It's odd for me to paint a model with black armour, just feels like I should be putting something over it... His torso is almost complete aside from highlights, same for the legs. The aquila only has 1 wash of sepia right now, I'll apply another one tomorrow. I decided to go with purple gems to change it up some. I'm switching out the combi-plasma arm for a regular storm bolter, the combi-plasma just wasnt sitting right. The cloak is going to be painted seperately then reattached. Decided to just bite the bullet and figure out what I want my article to be instead of rushing through what was left to paint. He's done now, but the wife is the photographer and she's at work. Other than that I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. The picture seems to bring the highlights out more than they should be. In person you know they're there but it's a bit more subtle and natural looking.
