Res Ipsa's Blood Angels...

[Res Ipsa Loquitur]

I, Res Ipsa Loquitur of the Blood Angels, vow on the honour of my Chapter to paint and present at least three ten-man tactical squads, one ten-man assault squad, one ten-man Death Company, a five-man Vanguard Veteran Squad, a TDA Librarian, a Chaplain, three Sanguinary Priests, a three-strong Land Speeder Squadron, two Razorbacks, a Predator and a Death Company Land Raider Redeemer, on or before the 31st of March, 2012. I promise to provide at least two WIP updates, preferably with pictures, in that time. I vow that if I should fail, I will provide the Librarium with an article and wear the Signature of Shame until my penitence period is done.

Ok, firstly I'm posting these here on the understanding that you will not be beastly about my (lack of) painting skills. I'm very robust about most things in life but if you're mean about my ham-fisted daubings, about which I am already sensitive, I will cry. I am one of those people who considers painting a chore; consequently I do the least work to achieve a passable, table-top standard and I'm usually very slow to finish anything so I figured I'd try to use the LPC to kick my derriere up a notch. Expectations duly tempered? Ok, let's crack on.

 

So, on to the models. First up are some minis not included in my LPC vow, because they're all but finished already.

So that's my first WIP post for my vow. I probably won't get much painting done anytime soon because I have an essay worth 40% of my final grade for one of my courses due on the 23rd but I am going to try and get the Assault Marine combat squad that I've started done.

EDIT 2 - Probably helps if I include the img code and not the email and IM link.

 

The pics have come out very orange for some reason. I use the Army Painter Pure Red and, IRL, the colour is a much deeper red.
