Drop pod building question

Open or closed? Pros? Cons? Tournament experience if I just say f it and keep em closed?

The doors on a drop pod move, so you can have them opened or closed. Usually what I do is have the drop pod closed before a battle and on Deep Strike placement then open it up like a flower and have my wolves around or on top of the doors. This being said there are other parts of the B&C to deal with stuff like this. This is fine but generally the Painting, Converting and Artwork section might be better for more advanced questions if you have them later. Or not, I hardly frequent it but it's got to be there for a reason

:EDIT:

Just remember not to glue the doors shut.

And I don't know how stingy folks get at tournies as an opening Drop Pod door can sometimes be obstructed by terrain when opening up.

I feel a better question would be if you want the dors on or not.

The drop pod blows it hatches once it lands (from what I understand). You can see the bolts in the frame exterior and the side of the doors and on the 5 sides of the main turbine. I would strogly advice against leaving the doors closed as this is a long way from how the drop pod looks, in the fluff, from the art and it depicitation from the Relic Computer games (there are starting to be quite a lott of them.) If you do not want moving parts on your drop pod, leave the doors of.

(Currentltly, when my doors do not have room to open we leave them closed. Odd but practical.)
