Ghent
Hey all, I have a 1,000pt army I really like and I'm looking to "bolt on" terminators for a 1,500pt army. I'm trying to figure out the most optimal load for a terminator squad. I have a Land Raider, so one option is to add a squad in the land raider. Another route I was considering was two terminator squads in drop pods (as I have 2 elite slots after the scouts). Just a stock squad of Wolf Guard termies is 165 points. I know Space Wolves Grey has this as an optimal load out for termies: 1 Wolf Guard in terminator armour with combi-plasma and power sword.1 Wolf Guard in terminator armour with storm shield and power weapon. 1 Wolf Guard in terminator armour with combi-melta and power sword. 1 Wolf Guard in terminator armour with combi-melta and chainfist. 1 Wolf Guard in terminator armour with storm bolter, power sword and cyclone missile launcher That's 250 points by my count. Just curious what some others have had success with as 5-man term squad load outs. My friends and I try to make our army's "all comers" so well-rounded is more fitting. Personally, I'm not really a fan of combi's on temies. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/244889-terminator-loadouts/ Share on other sites
Rune_Priest_Rhapsody
This has become my 'go to' TDA load out: TDA/Combi-Melta or Plas/Wolf Claw TDA/Combi-Melta or Plas/Wolf Claw TDA/Storm Shield/Wolf Claw TDA/Storm Bolter/Power or Chain Fist/Cyclone Missile Launcher TDA/Storm Bolter/Power Weapon It can deliver a punch in close combat, and it has decent shooting capabilities. In higher point games (2K and up) I will often throw them into a Pod. Often times Rune Priest Rhapsody in TDA joins the pack, and the CML guy goes to play with the Long Fangs.
