DarkGuard Posted January 9, 2012 Share Posted January 9, 2012 I can understand why they can't take weapons, as it creates a wound allocation decision, do you dump a wound onto the Apothecary that he will probably save but risk losing FnP, or do you stick it onto a power weapon and risk losing that model? The Terminator Squad Apothecary can take any available weapons including the heavy weapons. The Command Squad could take a power weapon/fist. The Ravenwing Bikes have no way to take power weapons. You and your invincible Land Raiders. :P I think we've just about covered all of the codecies now, no? SW Apothecaries are actually their "chaplains", no? They have no FNP-adding model anymore iirc? Their novitiates *at being sanguinary priests*, not at being space marines. Presumably their promotion didn't cause them to forget how to use power weapons. Likely a power weapon is the first specialist melee weapon a marine receives training in; however it's possible (and perhaps the implication here) that training with the narthecium and space marine "parts" comes before even that for the priesthood/apothecarion.
