Stormshadow
There is only three ways I play mine. Ordo Malleus: Terminator Armor, Hammer and Psycannon. Adding a psycannon and extra wounds to a Paladin or Terminator squad and benefitting from majority toughness and FNP. If I have the points I give him hammer hands to stack with the others to boost the strength to 6 ore more. Ordo Hereticus: Power Armor and Psyocculum. Stick him with a Warband to give them BS 10. Ordo Xenos: Power Armor, Force weapon / Hammer hand and Grenades. If I have the points I switch the Force weapon for a Power Fist and/or the bolt pistol for a Combi-Melta. I use this Inquisitor with any assault unit, if I am particularly uneasy about plasma, I also give him the Plasma Syphon. Are you having any luck with other builds? Is anyone using the Daemonblade? I use this Inquisitor with any assault unit, if I am particularly uneasy about plasma, I also give him the Plasma Syphon. He is not allowed a powerfist. Are you having any luck with other builds? I run a Xenos with Psych and rad grenades, psyker upgrade (hammerhands) - and his retinue of 4 crusaders and 5 death cult assassins. They sit nice and easy in a Land Raider Phobos. They are fantastic, since basicly no unit in the game can take their charge. They babysit my otherwise quite shooty army and they do a fantastic job (even pummeling thundershield-termies, with ease). Chengar Qordath
Hammerhands does not stack. To Achieve S6 you need a Librarian with might of the titan. Wrong. Per the BRB FAQ: "Q: Do the effects of the same psychic power cast multiple times on the same unit stack? (p50) A: Yes, unless specifically stated otherwise." Personally, I tend to use a Malleu Inquisitor with a Hellrifle and a servitor retinue in a Chimera-bunker, a Malleus Inquisitor in terminator armor with a Psycannon, or the standard Xenos Hammerhand/grenade caddy. Stormshadow
You are right abort the Xenos Inquisitor not being able to have a Power Fist, I don’t know what i was thinking… @ Chengar Qordath Do you find that the Hellrifle is a better option than a Psycannon or a Psyocculum? I have never used the Hellrifle and would very much like it if you shared your experience with it. Drachnon
I've played OM inquisitor with power armour and 2 daemon blades a couple of times. Had a lot of fun with them (sometimes fielded 2) however its not the most competitive idea. Just lots and lots of fun. (ever seen an inquisitor with 10 wounds?) Two daemon blades has a couple of advantages, first of all you roll twice for each blade meaning that the chances of getting a crappy weapon are small. And even though you can only use one at a time in close combat some of the advantages are passive (like dark resurrection and deathlust) thus work all the time. Chengar Qordath
@ Chengar QordathDo you find that the Hellrifle is a better option than a Psycannon or a Psyocculum? I have never used the Hellrifle and would very much like it if you shared your experience with it. If you're planning a sit back and shoot 36" range retinue of heavy weapon servitors, the Hellrifle is a nice fit. It's nice for sniping out power-armored models, and it lets your Inquisitor make a contribution to the unit's long-range shooting while still staying pretty cheap. If I field a terminator Psycannon Inquisitor, he needs to be a bit closer, and I'd like to have him moving to take advantage of his Relentlessness. It's a good option but it takes a different battlefield role than the Hellrifle Inquisitor. As for the Psyocculum, that really just depends on your local meta. If you consistently get lots of Psykers to shoot at it's great, if there aren't many psykers around, it's less so. Personally, I don't face enough Psykers to make the Psyocculum worthwhile for an all-comer's list. Stormshadow
Sounds like I have to give both of those inquisitors a trey. And I have to admit, an Inquisitor with 10 wounds and 2 two-handed weapons does sound like a lot of fun  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/245112-how-do-you-play-your-inquisitors/#findComment-2965279 Share on other sites
