Oh... wow. When you said "cloth", I assumed sculpted cloth, like WHFB banners. Not real cloth... I may well be adding these to the force, thanks a bunch!!

 

 

Yeah, a little pricey, but you're never going to be able to make plastic look like real cloth no matter how great a painter you are. I would think your opponents would do a double take when the game rooms AC unit makes your banners ACTUALLY FLAP IN THE BREEZE.

 

Let me know if you get them and how they look. I might invest in some when I break down and redo my army

I will do just that if I buy them. Hell, I'll stick a fan next to the board just to make people realise - I'll be like, "Yeah. You saw that right" ^_^

 

On a related note, I think I'm going to buy a Combat Squad and Assault Squad soon, along with five normal backpacks and the Templar + Dark Angel accessory sprue's soon, next pay day. I've managed to convince myself that my Death Guard don't need any new additions just yet, even though I'm soon to be joining a local gaming club I never knew existed until the other day. Oh, well ^_^

 

I know it'd be cheaper to buy Tactical squads in the long run, but I don't get that much time at the moment to model, and I tend to buy but-loads of models in one go and then never paint them, so I'll take it slow with these guys. I'll also have to order those Necron bases to go with them.

 

If all goes well, I'll win those Sanguinary Guard power weapons in a little over four hours. So after that, I'll have to start thinking about how to model my Emperor's Champion. I have thought about having him kneeling in prayer with the sword plunged into the ground. To do that, I'd have to dig out a pair of kneeling Devastator legs or order a new set from eBay. Opinions on this?

I think it would look cool, but that's just me.

I like him, nice use of bits! Is that a Cities of Death lamp post I see being used as a lantern on his leg?

 

EDIT;

 

I lost the auction last night for the power weapon set from the Sanguinary Guard box, but I've just bought the specific sword I wanted, plus the two Imperial Eagles I need for the Chaplain.

Delivery should take between 3-4 days, so I should have a photo update next weekend.

Yet another double post. Oh well..

 

My bitz arrived 2-3 days early... by arriving the day after I bought them. Pretty good going!

 

The build is now complete. I just need to shave off a couple of mould lines etc., and I'll start painting him. Anyway - I now present;

I made the Crozius by using the Eagle overhang piece from the Cities of Death kit, and two SM Rhino Eagle icon's fixed to the SM Poweraxe from the Assault squad kit.
