arnwald
I managed to purchase some resin parts Fw, I was wondering how do you prepare them painting. What primer do you use? and what color? dswanick
I managed to purchase some resin parts Fw, I was wondering how do u prepare them painting. What primer do you use? and what color? The first piece of advice I would offer is to allow them to sit in a warm, dry, well ventilated area for at least a week. Every day or two wash the pieces with a very mild soap and cool water solution and rinse well with cool water. Resin pieces tend to "sweat" chemicals for several days after being created and you want to be sure to get the pieces clean before trying to apply primer and/or paint. Master of fact
You could do that OR simply clean with warm soapy water and before the basecoat spray with matt varnish. This locks all that stuff in and gives a good base to paint on. I do it with all resin pieces.
