A Dark Angel chapter idea. Need help to improve it.

I am still doing my Tyranids and will be working on my Dark Angels when they are done. Before, my Dark Angels were either DA Green with black ink or Black with DA Green ink. A combination of both of them.

 

Well now I am on the forums here in DA B&C and saw the SM at the to of "Obvjective Reached Brothers!". This got me thinking of Ghost Unforgiven.

 

So I am trying to think of a DA Chapter about Ghost DA. Maybe somehow of a special group of Fallen who have Repented and converted. Maybe they are still hunted by DA, but on a far out section of the Milky Way, they banded together to fight for the Emperor. OR they are dead DA members who's "spirit" are in the Suits of Armour. I don't know, but I really like the idea of Ghost Dark Angles or Angelic Dark Angles. I don't want to be thinknig of Angles of Death, but more like Angelic liberators.

 

So I would like some help in a name and some ideas thrown around. After reading Abhorash thread, it got me into rethinking fluff and history for my DA minis. Since my mind is a blank now, and this is all I can think of, I am wondering if my fellow brothers can help me. Please correct me if I would be wrong anywhere.

 

Yes I know Fallen would be interogated and killed on site. Would go agaisnt DA fluff of Fallen being intergrated back into DA armies. I was thinking more of The Lion loves his fellow DA brothers that he would never want them to be killed so if they have repented and are worthy they could be like Ghost Unforgiven. If that is not plausable, then have them as "renegade DA" and are still hunted by the DA but still fight for The Lion and Emperor and have a home base on a far away unpopulated area.

 

So please help with ideas and a good name. All I can think of is Ghost Unforgiven or Ghost Redeptions.

If your intent on making a band of Fallen who are trying to redeem themselves someway then I believe it is mandatory for Lord Cypher to be you HQ. In older editions they have eluded to the fact that Cypher in not inherently evil and wishes for the DA to be returned to former glory with the Fallen that follow him holding similar principles. If your set on using "Ghost" as part of your DIY successor I suggest maybe Ghosts of Caliban. Being that they are Fallen they would be remnants of the old world I would also encourage them being all Calibanite natives and mixing in some SW bits like furs and skulls to distinguish them as knights of the old Order who have all slain Great Beasts. "The forests may be gone but the monsters still remain". Good luck in your endevours and now it looks like I cornered myself into writing more of my own fluff *bangs head against the wall*.

Oh I love those ideas Abhorash. You have started something in me now. It better not cost me more money, or wifey will be mad at me. <_<

 

How about Spirits of Caliban? Caliban Revanents? Cyphers Revanents? Nah, not that. Hmm... Apparations of Caliban? The Atonement Apparations of Caliban? PROPITIATORIUM PRAESTIGIAE? Ok that was Latin, not working there.

Specters of Ruin(or Vengeance or Justice, or any other suitable knightly virture), the (Un)Hallowed Dead [have an affiliation with being "dead men walking" kind of thing], Ordo Angelicus (order of angels in "40k" latin), the Angelicae, Angelicae Imperitor... I'll think of more later. Personally, I like the Angelicae. Its short,simple, and not showy. Also, it doesn't have any predetermined conotations. Its always weird in books when I read something like "and the citizens rejoiced because the Death Monsters arrived...". With a neutral name, to the good guys it sounds good and to the bad guys it sounds bad.
