norau
During a game last night I came over two questions I have failed to find good answers to. First, does an Independent Character with a Fenrisian wolf (or two) loose IC? Or more precise; does he loose Move Through Cover? Second, a Lightning Claw confers re-roll to wound. Since you don't «wound» a vehicle I suspect you cannot use it against such. But with a Wolf Claw you can choose to re-roll to hit. So can you do this against a vehicle? Cheers! Nadir
The wolves are counted as a wargear (you can still attached him to another unit), but you have to use mixed T rule for wounding this "unit". IC don't have Move Through Cover, so neither the new 'unit' with wolves. You can re reoll to hit the vehicle with WC. norau
But on page 47 of the rule book it says: "All independent characters have the 'move through cover' and 'skilled rider' special rules"... Niiai
I clever thing I noticed when reading the FAQ space wolves means that when and IC with wolves joins a unit there are actualy 3 seperate targets. The unit, the IC (as he always count as a singel unit in CC) and the wolves. So if you do not use your wolves for wound alocations from ap 1-3 then you can throw the wolves at the units you do not want to fight. Coming out of a land raider or on thunder wolves being the moast realistic you charge a unit and you put the wolf on the IC or on the powerfist. If that model is not in contact with another unit they are forced to attack the wolf unit, making shure you can vipe out the rest of the unit withouth getting a nasty attack back. Asuming the IC is an enemy space marine chanses are he will not be killed by combat resolution and you can now be stuck in CC during your oponents turn while you can attack with your full complement of grey hunters, wolf guard battle leaders and your choise of character with thunderwolf axess. In a rhino heavy list I would asume you can do the same with a lone wolf in terminator armour. If you can lock out the oponents power weapon / fist it would be imposible to shut down that 2+ /4+ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/245281-fenrisian-wolves-and-wolf-claw/#findComment-2967697 Share on other sites
