he_plays_guitar
So I'm using the Dark Angel Chapter Master and I want to paint his feathered helmet headdress type of thing...but how the heck do I paint it? Is there a color scheme that looks good? I vaguely remember seeing an old school chapter master model that had a headdress that was painted similar to an American Plains Indian headdress like what the Sioux Indians would wear. Is this how I should paint it? Or is there a more "40k" approach I should take? Just getting ideas and opinions from everyone. I know it's my model and I can paint it how I want...but I want your opinions please. Thanks! Tengo
Most people just paint it Black, and then grey, building up layers until you get to skull white, with a nice gradient down the feathers, and then wash with a very thin black, or very, very thin blue ink.
