well I am keeping up with my vow here, but beyond the LPC which I have only vowed a small amount so I don't fail if life at work gets to hectic (tourist season here in Florida and I work in hospitality). so anyway, I have promissed myself to not buy a damned thing until I have my entire current army painted, that does mean I will be able to buy some nice models when I am done.

anyway the link: My blog.

I Vowed that I would complete 1 Razorback, 1 Rhino, 2 Templars and 1 EC. My Razorback is but for 1 hatch complete. I am not the greatest painter out there, but that is not the reason why I entered the LPC, it was to honour my chapter.

In the future, instead of posting another reply when we have come further in the development, why don´t we update our posts, as it would be less messy.

I have vowed to paint an Emperors Champion, a 10 man crusader squad, as well as completing my three contemptors. First WIP will likely be when they're all assembled and ready to be primed, omitting the contemptors since they're past that stage. Don't make any promises about any pictures until it's all done.

Edit: WIP update one: Completed one initiate to serve as a prototype and am working on the first half of the squad. EC and the other half of the squad ready to be primed. Dreadnought's nearing completion (feel sorta iffy at including them in this vow, seeing as they were pretty far gone already)

Gents (and any ladies, of course!), you do realise that you are currently third in the number of vows made? You have some way to gain on the BA, but you're only two behind the Dark Angels. There must be some more of you willing to participate, especially with an imminent Codex!

I would imagine an imminent codex holds people back from undertaking any more paint at the moment rather than spur it on. I'd imagine people are curious to what it will hold, and weill jump at it once the codex gets released rather than before, especially if under a budget.

It was just an idea. When you edit your post, we would still have to check up on this thread if anyone has edited their post, in addition to when you bump the thread with link to your topic, saying you have an update :(

As I said, it's just an idea. If people don't feel comfortable with this topic or don't see the need in it, then a MOD is free to lock/delete it or let the topic RIP silently :P

I, phoenix01 of the Black Templars, vow on the honour of my Chapter to paint and present one crusader squad of seven initiates on or before the 31st of March, 2012. I promise to provide at least two WIP updates, preferably with pictures, in that time. I vow that if I should fail, I will provide the Librarium with an article and wear the Signature of Shame until my penitence period is done.

I have my first one done. Brother William, my powersword toting Templar. Visit My Gallery

@ Dannis: I see your point, and I agree with you on keeping the LPC thread alive. I never took a disappearing thread into calculation. But I do see a need for this topic.

we have now moved to 2nd place behind Team Edward Marines. They are 12 pledges ahead.

Press-gang more neophytes into service! Rudely awaken all dreadnoughts and affix brushes to their DCCWs. Join us! pledge a single model if you are pressed for time. All hands on deck!

The emperor wills it! :)

I'm keeping track of my WIP on my B&C Blog as well. I vowed to build, paint, and base my first Typhoon for my crusade. It's slow going, but coming along. I'm a bit further now, than my pictures let on to. I'm going to have a heckuva time putting this thing together. Been searching through the modeling tutorials for assistance...they just don't seem to fit right. Good luck to all of you on your own LPC vows! My blog link below:

And for those that don't wish to be bored by my noob musings on the blogosphere, I'm also adding the direct link to my photobucket WIP album. Comments welcome!

This will be my WIP thread, up to now it's quite empty. But I promise, it is going to get better as soon as I'll be done with all my exams! For the Emperor!

PS: I hope that there will be more of us to vow. It would be really awesome to beat the Blood Angels subforum ^^

EDIT: I messed something up with the link so that there was none. And I think it didn't make much sense to just write "this is my ..." without a link :D

Just a reminder gents - there's one week left to make your vow. So there's still time to do it.

If you've already made a vow, please make sure that it is accurate and that any thread you've created to show your progress is linked to in the first post here.

Thank you!

I'm thinking I want to add another 10 initiates as well 5 assault terminators to my vow (all just to avoid painting the EC now, i really want to get as much practise as possible before I tackle him)

How do I go about making sure the updated is accepted?

Reinhard
