Legion of the Damned Squad #1

Recommended Posts

Painted this squad of 8 back in early 2010, shortly after the release of the new LOTD models sculpted by Juan Diaz! I have the second squad (the eight other models) in blister packs awaiting assembly and paint. Including the Sgt. alternative with power sword.

Anyway, here's my LOTD squad #1.

Thank you Brothers.

@ Grimdarkness-I agree the bleach bone might have looked a bit cooler, but I was really going for a specific look with these guys. I wanted to whites to really contrast against the black armor and flames.

@ImperatosGaladii- First and foremost, I really use thin layers of paint. I learned early on to thin my paints. I added about 2-3 three thin layers of Fortress Grey mixed with Skull white to the skull and bone areas, then 2 layers of straight skull white, then a final layer of Titanium white (picked up a big tube from my local art store).
