Shadow in the Warp vs Runes of Witnessing

According to the new FAQ's, both of these rules force an extra D6 to be rolled when making a psychic test, rather than a set 3D6.

So, does an Eldar Farseer roll 4D6 for a psychic test, discarding the highest of the D6 rolls as per Runes, before counting the 1's and 6's and applying any Perils results as per shadow?

I think that's probably what is intended as they removed the last sentence of the Runes of Witnessing rules which said "You must use the lowest two rolls". Eldar psykers are royally screwed when under SitW. What is supposed to be a benefit becomes a very serious penalty.

less of a penalty than they would be against SitW without runes of witnessing. which means the runs are still a benifit.

Runes of Witnessing always incrased your chances of perils (two ones are more likely on three dice, even if two sixes become less likely), but 4 dice ignore the highest is still a greater chance of success than just 3 dice. And SiTW is still less powerfull than runes of warding.
