The Prophet
When I finally got my hands on a million manufactorum windows (my wallet didn’t like it), I decided to construct a large LOS-blocking building that you could enter and shoot out of. It’s part one of 9-12 buildings in my life time plan to make a city block game board. The house comes with a magnetized door that you can take off and can have some fun rules with. In our games, you can descend through the fan on the roof if you survive both an initiative test and a dangerous terrain test. But enough of this chatter, here’s how it looks like: And some WiP picts I can also post these rather stressbuilt ruins that actually came out quite nice, since we can change them up from game to game for variation. Your opinions are welcome! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/245485-adeptus-biologicus-sewage-farm-terrain-project/ Share on other sites

ShinyRhino
That is very neat. I like the wide steps up the side. Nothing worse than tiny steps you can't put a model on. How do models get inside the building? Do you just pull the top floor? The modular ruins are brilliant as well. Kierdale
Outstanding work! I particularly love the sign. As well as the text the combination cog-biohazard symbol is inspired! The Prophet
Thanks! Yes, the entire roof can be taken off (carefully if full of models of course) and units can then be moved around inside. Man, those modular ruins are awesome! Any chance of a tutorial on those? It's too simple really. You cut a square in half. Then take the right piece and mark the middle of the right side of it. Then draw two lines from the left corners to your mark. The left piece is marked in a mirrored way and then you just cut them up. The square is 280 mm. If you tilt your head to the right when you look at the picture, it should show. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/245485-adeptus-biologicus-sewage-farm-terrain-project/#findComment-2970801 Share on other sites
Olis
I like the sewage works and appreciate the wip pics - makes the building seem much easier to build. Nifty warning sign, btw. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/245485-adeptus-biologicus-sewage-farm-terrain-project/#findComment-2970802 Share on other sites
BassWave
I also noticed your sign was bilingual, nice touch with the binary bro :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/245485-adeptus-biologicus-sewage-farm-terrain-project/#findComment-2970956 Share on other sites
Schmitt.
Modular ruins! That's genius! The buildings look crisp and striking - very nice. Love the liquid effects within the sewage farm. How did you achieve that effect? Jay Taint
;) That's absolutely epic! I love it! All those little details, like having the warning sign in (what I believe is) Techna-Lingua as well, make it a live thing! The Prophet
Yeah I had to make some binary translation there for all those tech priests on a stroll through the city. :) Get in there, you big furry oaf! The Prophet
Love the liquid effects within the sewage farm. How did you achieve that effect? I used GW's water effects mixed with a drop of Dark Angels Green. It takes forever to dry and you can only do thin layers at a time, so now I use laminating epoxy instead for a quicker way to reach the same effect. The later does not become white before drying as well, so you can see immediately how it's gonna be, which is very useful.
