The eyes we will do in a wicked shade of green... I am thinking night vision. The crests and icons I would like to see a little more bronze... or perhaps a real bone look to them? I am very picky… My wife who doesn’t really care much for my 40k hobby came into my hobby room and saw my old Iron Priest sitting with his buddies on the shelf and said “What is that guy supposed to be? I can’t have a “chicken” Iron Priest! The dude is the unofficial leader of my army. After a few hours of serious thinking and gazing over the numerous bitz on my desk I spied an Ajak Rockfist model I bought a few months back. Russ smiled a canine grin. jamesknouse Posted June 27, 2012 Author Share Posted June 27, 2012 Here is Bjorn so far... He is a total WIP. Any ideas? I am gonna post him on another thread as well with him as the title... I re-positioned the head just to get a feel at what looks best. Also I gave him a sword in his bionic arm as I didn't think it mattered much what he was holding. The bionic arm strikes last at double strength anyway... I plan to give him more hair and a beard later. I also plan to fur up his shoulders and chest. As is he stands a head taller than a normal marine. If you have a suggestion with some bitz to toss at him I welcome them. My bit graveyard has dwindled and the inspiration isn't there so much! This is the lay out I have come up with from the warhammer wiki. His left arm corrupted and bionic grasping a bolt pistol. The other a nasty claw. Bjorn and his personal body guard The Varangi. Not totally by the books because some have Lightning Claws and Foe Blasters. These conversions are amazing espicially the dread, he looks really menacing and has a pose that really gives the model some motion (much like the newest iron father conversion as well). The thunderwolf cav looks really really nice as well and the paint scheme works for me though I think there still a little too clean for having been lost in the warp for so long. The one thing that did look a bit off to me though was the size of the lighting claw on the last guy on foot. It might just be the perspective but it just seems a little bit big. I have a new Bjorn on the cutting room floor currently for the same issues you raise. I went ahead and finished this build just to get some input that reinforces what I thought! This is my final swing at Post Prospero Bjorn the Fellhanded. His left hand is bionic and clutching a Chainsword. The right is a Lightning Claw. Both arms are magnetized at the shoulders and the bionic is also magnetized at the wrist so I can switch him out when needed. I imagine in some 40k games he will be double as my Lone Wolf with two wolves at his side. The Lone Wolf set up will be more of a diorama with him leaping high off the ground by using his wolves as stepping stones, catapulting him over any enemy line with Storm Shield and Frost Axe coming down for the kill. So just thinking out loud here. what was the pre-Prospero Bjorn armed with? Duel Lightning Claws? I want to make him legit Pre and Post.
