Well the army just hit its first goal of reaching 1000 pts, and what could be better then celebrating that with some new pictures? ^_^ Librarian http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/ss247/Zebrah_2009/Libbe1.jpg Dreadnought 1 http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/ss247/Zebrah_2009/Dread11.jpg http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/ss247/Zebrah_2009/Dread12.jpg Dreadnought 2 http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/ss247/Zebrah_2009/Dread21.jpg Tactical squad 1 http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/ss247/Zebrah_2009/Tac11.jpg http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/ss247/Zebrah_2009/Tac15.jpg http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/ss247/Zebrah_2009/Tac19.jpg http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/ss247/Zebrah_2009/Tac113.jpg Tactical squad 2 http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/ss247/Zebrah_2009/Tac21.jpg http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/ss247/Zebrah_2009/Tac25.jpg http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/ss247/Zebrah_2009/Tac29.jpg http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/ss247/Zebrah_2009/Tac213.jpg Assault squad 1 http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/ss247/Zebrah_2009/Assault11.jpg http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/ss247/Zebrah_2009/Assault15.jpg http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/ss247/Zebrah_2009/Assault19.jpg Next up will probaly be a couple of devastators (with backpack mounted missile launcher) and a predator! Doghouse
Very nice stuff, the use of the Tech Marine as a librarian is especially good. :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/245825-war-clan-lachesis/#findComment-3040071 Share on other sites
reckoning
Ya that librarian is really very interesting. Nice paint job on him as well. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/245825-war-clan-lachesis/#findComment-3040077 Share on other sites
Terminatorinhell
I really like that shade of green! How did you do it? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/245825-war-clan-lachesis/#findComment-3040129 Share on other sites
Dorns Padawan
Mate that Librarian is awesome! Very nice they way you have mixed the blue with green, I assume he is a Librarian/Tech marine? I know he has been titled as Librarian but still.... he looks awesome! What model did his staff come from or is it custom made? Again you paint skills are to be admired but you poses with some of the squads is very nice & noticeable (sp). The first 3 dudes in Assault Squad 1 are my fave, but whats the dude in the middle holding? Is it a pistol or is his hand out in front of him? My eye sight is not that brill. Awesome stuff mate, loving the thread!!!!!!! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/245825-war-clan-lachesis/#findComment-3040180 Share on other sites
muffel
Dorns padawan: Thanks! Yes he is indeed atleast ruleswise a librarian, even tho I like to imagine him as some sort of combination between a techmarine and librarian. Maybe a technoracle or something? The staff is from one of the grey knight kits (I think its the warding staff from the normal power armour guys) Ha, cant blame you. The pictures are abit dark, but its supposed atleast to be some kind of remote to his servoarm mounted on the backpack (Count as powerfist) Terminatorinhell: Well the green is not that hard to do. It goes something like this: Basecoat of chaos black, cover all the parts supposed to be green in Knarloc green A couple of layers of snot green, leaving knarloc in the deepest recess (spelling?) Highlight the edges with a mix of goblin green and snot green. About 50/50 Another highlight with pure snot green, leaving some of the last highlight showing And last some snot green on the extreme edges reckoning34: Thanks, yeah I think hes currently my favourite to! Doghouse: Wow, got to be doing something right when you recive praise from doghouse. Thanks! ^_^ gunbabe: Thanks, i too prefer abit darker green then the usual sons of medusa are painted in. Iron Father Ferrum
They are very nicely painted! I did want to know why you went with a darker green than the Sons are normally depicted with. Is it because its too glaringly bright? ('Cause if so, I agree with your decision!) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/245825-war-clan-lachesis/#findComment-3040951 Share on other sites
muffel
Deus Ex Ferrum Well could be my eyes being all wonky, but to me atleast I think forgeworlds colour scheme for the sons seem alot closer to snot green (Which is my main colour) then scorpion green or other bright greens, also its a little bit easier to paint ;) Brother Syth, MagicMan, batu Thanks everybody, seems like the librarian is a real crowd pleaser!
