Montuhotep
Straightforward one, this - albeit maybe not so simple. I'm arming my Artificer Armoured captain with a pair of Thunder Hammers, just because I can. :P However, I don't really want these to be straight ports of Termie hammers onto new arms, but would rather have something a little more ornate as befits his status, so suggestions please? commander alexander
Terminator hammers tend to look out of proportion on power armor minies. Unless you shorten the hafts and attach them to smaller, power armored hands (termy hands are bigger) they just tend to look "off". Here are the only GW sources of thunder hammers I know of; ===Power/Artificer Armor=== -Space Wolves Pack, I believe you get two of the exact same in this kit. They are stylised into a wolf head, but not distastefully so. The arms are bent so that the hammer rests on the shoulder. -Space Marine Master of the Fleet. Also bent so that it rests on the shoulder. The arm itself is more ornate, while the hammer is relatively simple. The hammer is an unsegmented "brick" type with the only decoration of a small aquila on either side. These "brick" type hammers would be easier to dress up with bits or a paintjob. -Blood Angels Death Company. This hammer is wielded with two hands, so it probably wouldn't work for your purpose. -Inquisitor Coteaz also has a nice simple "brick" hammer. I have never handled this model before, I do not know how it is put together or how easy it would be to remove the hammer/arm. -The Grey Knights kit also comes with a single hammer wielded by two hands. Depending on how comfortable you are painting or converting, all it takes is some creativity and effort and you can make the simplest bit look fantastic. I have to go, but I will try and add some sources for terminator based thunder hammers later. T14
WHFB dwarfs or empire models. Some of the heroes have really nice kit :tu: Use WH40K power axe hafts as a base. Cut off the axe head and add a WHFB hammer head. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/245864-hammers-fancy-ones/#findComment-2974144 Share on other sites
puck
What about a single long pole arm with hammer heads on both ends? fairly exotic looking and you could dress up the haft with wrapped purity seals like on some of the GK stuff. Can't think of much to do for the heads themselves though...
