Zapathasura
I got the chance to listen to the Angel Exterminatus audiobook, and there was a very interesting part that might refer to the whereabouts of Vulkan When Perturabo takes his triarchs to his inner chamber, he walks through a selfbuilt labyrinth. When one of his warsmiths aks him if there's another labyrinth of this sort, Perturabo tells him about one he built for the 8th legion in which the world eaters make sports with a very special prisoner. The labyrinth they are talking about is a mindbending, non euclidian wonder of the dark age of technology....so a perfect prison for a primarch? Grimtooth
Well we know he is killed at the massacre as we don't have the same reaction happen when he is firebombed like we did when Ferrus gets whacked. Of course know that since he is active after the massacre as well. I think we would know if he had been captured. I am thinking he was spirited away by some surviving members of the other loyal Legions to recover/heal before being reunited with his chapter. KarkassBC
Captured is the most probable outcome. We know Corax was saved by a rescue party only thanks to brave astartes, Cabal plannings and Alpha Legions duplicity. A large group to allow his escape... and he went to Istvaan V with the majority of his Legion. I deeply doubt that happened the same with Vulcan. Also there is a positive point in favour of Vulcan to be captured and not killed during the fights: he was not hated by his traitorous brothers...
