Bam-AoD
I wasn't sure where to post this, but here seems the best place. Has anyone attempted to use Orkhide shade instead of DA green as a basecoat? If so, How well does it work? Komodo
I actually use orkhide shade as a basecoat, then only one layer of DA green is needed to cover it. Saves time. Droma
Orkhide works fine, it more depends on just how dark you want the recesses to be. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/246036-painting-question/#findComment-2976623 Share on other sites

Gillyfish
Personally I prefer a DA green basecoat over a black undercoat, but Orkhide shade works. I did try using it on a vehicle, but found that DA green provides a richer colour. So personally I stick with DA green for the most part.
