Scibor Conversion parts.

Recently got back into 40k after a long absence, mainly due to boredom once i came back from Afghan. Took up where I left off, with the good ol' Space Wolves, after seeing the new minis. Just quite disappointed about the lack of Wolf Priest models. Although the old Ulrik the Slayer model is still very well sculpted, it just doesn't appeal. Now looked on ebay at the 2003 GD Wolf Priest, but the price they seem to go for is pretty steep, especially for a single figure. So I'm thinking conversion. After a look about on some of the bitz websites, saw the scibor range of conversion parts. Anyone had any experience with them?

The shields are quite nice, but the shoulder pads are not for normal marines. They're aimed at the 'true-scale' modellers and perhaps might look quite good on terminators with a bit of work as theyre a lot larger than they seem to be in the pictures. Well, thats the mistake I made when I ordered them a while ago.

Can't say much about quality, as I've only made one order and I found it difficult to get pads off the sprue without wrecking part of the pad. Other people may have had a better experience than myself though.

i have the celtic shields(Celtic Shields CPSH0016) the small are good for, PA models, the big shields are for termis

the detail is epic the runes on the big shields are amazing so small but you still can see them clearly

even a GW staff member was in aw about them(of the record he wistperd)

the shoulder plates are quite big, but for an HQ, if you do the pose, head and weapon wright you can go for it

im a bit busy right now but i will try to post some pics

i had no problem removing them i cut a littel more down the exessmold and cut and filed them smooth.

scibor's quality/price ratio is very good. and giveds your models an exclusive look.

greets

I have about a dozen of the Scibor Celtic bodies (one piece torso + legs) and I'm very impressed with them. The only down side I see is that you are pretty much committed to the way the legs are positioned. Other than that, I would highly recommend them for the detail.

I intend to use regular GW shoulder pads, arms, and heads on them. Because of how the exhaust vent is built into the torso, there's no need for SM backpacks.

Cheers,
