Frostbit3
Here is first WIP for my vow. This pic is from my phone. Once some paint is on the model i'll take the time to use a real camera. This dread was a drunk purchase over a year ago that I am just now getting around to putting together after not playing 40k for most of that time. Trying to get it looking halfway decent for a small tourney this weekend. Shaved off most of the major iconography, but left the sword as was feeling lazy and didn't wanna do a hackjob on it. http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j160/sfreeman3/dreadunprimed.jpg
Frostbit3
So got SOME work done. Lots of base colors blocked off, and not much shading at the moment. Will look dramatically different then... theoretically. Hopefully have some more interesting pictures later tonight or early tomorrow. It's kinda tricky trying to match a painting style I haven't used in years with my marines. I want the sword on the sarcophagus to look like the force sword the librarian used in life. What would a broken force sword look like? What color/s? http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j160/sfreeman3/dreadbased.jpg
Frostbit3
Quick update. Prolly 75% done but losing motivation fast. I want to do the force weapons, and some other details in green, but 4 of my green paints dried up since I last used them, leaving me non-good power greens. May have to mooch off a friend. Not feeling like I want to spend 12 dollars to paint the force weapon. http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j160/sfreeman3/dread1.jpg
MithrilForge
Nice looking model, great progress(dont lose the motivation now!!!your so close) got to ask though... is he staying black ? :P or are you going to paint the rest of him red.... cheers mithril
Frostbit3
He is most definitely staying black. Had never considered doing him red to be honest. If he wasn't a libby, the center sarcophagus would be red, to fit my flesh tearer vehicle scheme.
