Dracus Posted January 26, 2012 Share Posted January 26, 2012 So since this last Friday I have been working like a mad man to get a 1500 point army build and painted for a tournament this weekend. I had to build a Land Raider Crusader (and magnetize it), Land Speeder Storm (and make a Multi-Melta for it), some scouts (and make a Power fist for the Sgt), 2 Assault Terminators (Converted from the AoBR ones), and some Tac Marines. I have everything 99% built, needing to finish the Multi-Melta for the Storm and build the Multi-Melta for the Crusader. And I have been painting like a mad man. Here is my progress. I played VS a mixed IG list and won the game with ease but it was not vs a tournament player or list. They are all done with a Astronomican Gray and then I do an edge highlight with Skull White. tyrannosaurus Posted February 7, 2012 Share Posted February 7, 2012 Nice choice of chapter, unusual to see Celestial Lions - I think these could use an edge highlight on the blue parts to make them pop, and possibly a wash on the gold parts then edge highlighted with mithril silver. Lastly the grey as a spot colour doesn't work great for me, just looks unfinished - red might look really good. Thanks for the images and keep 'em coming! Col. Dracus Posted February 8, 2012 Author Share Posted February 8, 2012 Thanks for the comments. The Shining Gold has been washed with a Mud and given highlight with Burnished Gold. The Mordian Blue was given an edge highlight with Ultramarines Blue and some places also got a Ultramarines/Lightning Bolt blue mix. The Gray with White edge highlights are supposed to make it look a little more like stone. A lot of this may not be picked up on due to the pictures not being the best quality.
