ron
If there was ever a place to share a tutorial on how to fix bolter gun barrels (and this works for bolt pistols, heavy bolters and storm bolters too), this is it. The whole thing is up on my blog and is fairly easy to do along with requiring very little in terms of equipment. Nothing most hobbyists don't already have on their desks. You can see the whole tutorial here. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/246185-how-to-fix-damaged-gun-barrels/ Share on other sites
Olis
-_- Holy hairy moses. That's so simple. It's one of those things where you wonder why you hadn't thought of it yourself. Thankyou! Lord Ragnarok
Yeah, this is a forehead smacker for sure. I've GS'd the broken part but never thought to roll my own barrel... *Sigh*. That said, what is your rolling technique? ron
Glad it helps. It's saved me on more than one occasion from losing a perfectly good bit. As far as rolling out greenstuff, I get it started between my fingers and then roll it the rest of the way between two CD covers. They are smooth and flexible enough that I can put pressure on one as needed to make sure the tube is consistent in diameter. You don't have to be exact with the diameter, just close enough for the repair to work.
