hi guys. id like to show you my new table!

 

tell me what can i do better, what you like and what sucks. thanks for constructive criticism.

Looks like a very good gaming table!

 

If I would really need to make any comment...it would be on the sharpness of the lines of the flock patches. If that makes any sence...

Perhaps you could try to make the grass gradually go thinner on the edges to have a more natural effect.

 

 

But anyway, still it looks like a nice table to play on. Have lots of fun with it! :to:

The grass does unfortunately just look artificially patched. Try fading it out, roughing up the edges, and also using different colours of flock to simulate dead/dying grass. If the rest of the board is just bare earth and dirt brown, then the grass should look a lot less healthy.

It's a case of less is more.

 

My only other suggestion would be the pebbles you have used around the craters, and on top of some of the hills. They are too smooth and rounded, which messes with the effect of scale when the pebbles are supposed to represent big rocks and boulders. Try giving them some texture, deeper shadows, and a light dusting of a drybrush highlight to really emphasize a rough, jagged surface.

 

Apart from those two things, it's a good table, and you should have many-a happy game on it!!
