Crimson Hawk
If anyone read my other topic on this sub-forum, you will know I'm planning a Pre-Heresy Thousand Sons army, themed around their last stand on Tizca, and I want a little help with the list- NOT FOR POWER for fluff-factor. Here we go; Ahzek Ahriman(Tigirius) Phosis T'Kar (Epistolary with Force Dome and Smite) Tactical Squad Madox-Sgnt with Power Weapon and Combi-Plasma, Meltagun and Missle Launcher Tactical Squad Kor'ba-Sgnt with Power Weapon and Combi-Flamer, Flamer and Missle Launcher Pyrae Veteran Squad (Sternguard)- Sgnt with Power Weapon and Combi-Flamer, 2 Heavy Flamers Prosperine Spireguard Crusade Veterans squad Alep-10-man Scout Squad Venerable Brother Akkan- Veneable Dread with Plasma Cannon and Heavy Flamer Whirlwind 'Tizca's Might'- Random upgrades 1500 points So, is it Fluffy? I should point out, this force is not my next project- I have my GK to finish, and then a small force for the new LotR Fallen Realms book. But this should (Hopefully) kick off in the not-too-distant future. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/246189-defenders-of-tizca/ Share on other sites
Honda
I'd say your list is flavorful. A couple of questions for you: 1. So it appears that you choose to go with C:SM vs. C:GK. Curious as to your thinking behind that. Not that it's bad, just curious. 2. Is it your intention to model the various special and heavy weapons as "sorcerers" in the squad? Anyway, I say go for it! Note: My current project is a Custodes/Space Wolves/Sisters of Silence "counts as" Grey Knights force, representing the attack force that assaulted Prospero. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/246189-defenders-of-tizca/#findComment-2979037 Share on other sites
Crimson Hawk
Yes, I chose C:SM because I didn't want to do a Scarab Occult force, and yes, I am going to model Flames on my Sternguard to represent their cult speciality. Same for the Combi- Weapons, although the missile launchers will be actual heavy weapons. Wait- :D- Dog of Russ! For Magnus! For Prospero! Maxium_Borusa
Just food for thought back in october i played a pre herasy thousand sons army at the TOS, the guy was playing them out of C:SW using rune priest and wolfgaurd as squad sargents. the list worked really well and seemed fluffy to me. as i said was food for thought. And yes the irony of a thousand son list out the wolf codex wasnt lost on me LOL. eyeslikethunder
The four rune priests can be useful for representing having a lot of magic users of a TOS army Gk are good fit too Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/246189-defenders-of-tizca/#findComment-2980844 Share on other sites
