For the mutated/possessed stuff, maybe have them be Loyalist Marines (Imperial Fists would stand out well) that the Night Lords captured and corrupted. For my variant version I`ve gone for arcane weaponry mixed with arcane tech as with the cloaking device thing going on there inspired from Captain Brown's Tau Painting Log. Mine are an inferior version but I quite like it, and it kinda goes in with the deep striking rule. The pic is not the best, I knows.. What gives that metallic effect I think is the fact that I dullcoat my minis. Gives the palette a different end quality :no: @Ludovic: Thanks mate :D I think I will go back and do some touch-ups, but now I need to keep my head cool and get the army finished for a tournie in april :) With that said. I`ve really gone to town on the mutations, and I likes it! I also think I made them different enough paintwise than the NLs that they stand on their own but similar in styles that they go together side by side.
