These guys are looking awesme, Red. I love the Champion in particular.

For the mutated/possessed stuff, maybe have them be Loyalist Marines (Imperial Fists would stand out well) that the Night Lords captured and corrupted.

Right, been a busy weekend but finally managed to get these gents ready, namely the Messoribus:

As mentioned my obliterators take inspiration from Dan the Daemons Night Lord Obliterator weapon teams. For my variant version I`ve gone for arcane weaponry mixed with arcane tech as with the cloaking device thing going on there inspired from Captain Brown's Tau Painting Log. Mine are an inferior version but I quite like it, and it kinda goes in with the deep striking rule. The pic is not the best, I knows..

Up next will be the termie Chaos Lord and two mutated Word Bearers!

@Loken86:

Thanks brother :( From a black basecoat it`s:

- regal blue

- devlan mud, 2-3 rounds

The lightning effect is just a continuation, ultramarines blue - ice blue - fortress grey.

What gives that metallic effect I think is the fact that I dullcoat my minis. Gives the palette a different end quality :no:

@Ludovic:

Thanks mate :D I think I will go back and do some touch-ups, but now I need to keep my head cool and get the army finished for a tournie in april :)

With that said. I`ve got the termie lord, 8 word bearers and the dreadnought more or less ready, stay tuned ;)

Aaaaand update time (finally!)!

First 8/10 from as of yet unnamed Word Bearers squad:

These are actually the first squad I made for this CSM army, but before I decided on NLs. I`ve really gone to town on the mutations, and I likes it! I also think I made them different enough paintwise than the NLs that they stand on their own but similar in styles that they go together side by side.

I`ll take a better squad pic when the last two are done.

Second, my dreadnought:

When I converted this guy I actually planned on a renegade Space Sharks force. So I tried to make a kinda sharky-mutated thingy. Ah well, it works this way also and he complements the Word Bearers squad nicely.

Then it`s time for my termie Chaos Lord, Priscus, Lord of Harvest, Master of Sorrow, Prince of the Night:

Well...I`m happy with `im!

Lastly a WiP of my next painting victim:

Don`t worry, it`ll be NLs pred.

;) :D :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: I believe B&C Rules prevent me from typing in the sheer random scrapcode that correctly conveys how awesome that looks. On a side note, is Priscus a Count-as Yabadabadon? I ask because I can't clearly see his left hand but I think I saw another weapon. Still looks cool though. And that dread... Talk about goosebumps.

@Dan: You`ve thought/done the same? That`s cool :verymad:

@Firepower: Haha, thanks :teehee: I wanted something that was more fighterplane than daemonic-metallic beast. That`s just to fit my vision of Night Lords, as in pure genes (but twisted minds) and a dislike of the mutated side of Chaos.
