Still.....so......happy.....with.....rumour......

It makes sense we are before 6th and CSM is after (assuming truth in the current rumours).

Although I agree we are a very popular army that has a strong player base despite our current power level, I do feel that CSM are vastly more popular.

We have a lot of lurkers(gamewise) and many peeps are just gagging to get into or back into playing DA once we are not 'mono-style-viable-build' anymore, but who doesn't also have a chaos army either as a primary or secondary force? not many players that's for sure.

So:

GW releases DA- old players get new toys, new players and bandwagoners see them and get excited, spend money.

GW release 6th with cheap starter sets- new players get into both the good and bad side of our back story, spend money.

GW release C:CSM- old players get new toys before Christmas, new players flock to the dark side, spend money.

DA left good and healthy, great dex, great new models, plenty of new players, less bandwagoners as they are now 'fallen'-SO many wins for us

Poor old BT players, maybe they'l get a pdf :P I am seeing GW doing the last of 'big' four first though so I do think BT will wait until next year.

+++Girlish Squeals of Joy+++ kept in check pending confirmation

Random odd wishlist items:

1. Give me the option for a sergeant (even if in a vet squad or something) with TH/SS in PA, so I can field my adepticon-11-purchased forgeworld boarding marine model (basically iron armor with a cooler helmet and said wargear)

2. Make my PF/SB scout sergeant legal again!

3. (most serious) Forget the fancy junk you're dishing to the other "special" chapters, I want DA to have the best tactical squads in the game. Bring back intractable, with the option for fearless sergeants, for example.

4. Keep table-wide LD-10-conferring captains!

very very happy if this is all true!

still taking with a pinch of salt, but jeez how frikkin cool if it is!

not to long to wait to find out if it is true if the march/april release bit is true.

more interested in what they will have planned for the model range??

ravenwing box set is cool as and no real need to re-do

be nice to see a 5 man box of deathwing termies, decent shoulder pads in line with forgeworld sets and more legs with iconography like the metal deathwing sgt termie from way back...ohhh and a robed termie body

and maybe some more gubbins added to the vet box set...but that would prob go up to £20 plus to be inline with the b.angels box

suppose will have to wait and see.

*puts money aside just incase*

I hope to god that we aren't the last codex to be done before 6th Edition, look at what happened last time and its took them 3 years to give us an FAQ.

Well they learnt their lesson there the hard way there VAGABOND :P.

Did they? One can speculate...Oh what the hell here it is.... http://www.librarium-online.com/forums/attachments/rumours-news-previews/15154d1327877978t-can-you-guess-what-yet-untitled.jpg

Also:

As I am sure most everyone has discovered by now: GW has done something actually very cool. They have made a little Cypher (hint…hint) on the bindings of each White Dwarf so far this year. With two issues so far a figure is starting to take shape.

So I think with this little rumor gift from GW I want to reiterate something I have been reporting for the last year or so. Along with knowing now that the 6th box set is done and in production I want to clearly state what has not changed since the release of the Grey Knights.

The release schedule for 40k 2012 is…

April-May: Dark Angels/Fallen

June-Aug: 6th Ed/Box Set DA vs. CSM

Oct-Nov: Chaos Space Marines/Fallen

There is no Tau, no Black Templars, no Eldar. I want this on the record so strike me down if I am wrong! I am only re-reporting this schedule because I think people have been lead astray by all the false talk of other codices.

I also want to go on the record saying that the Chaos Space Marine codex will not be two books. That was an old rumor from about 5 years ago that got resurrected last year for some infernal reason.

As well another reminder that 6th ed leak pdf is a not the real deal!

Take with salt.

I don't see it. I have a pretty good source within GW myself and he's said nothing about DA to me, other than the fact that DA are in the 6th edition box set along with Chaos. Which would make sense - fallen and all that jazz.

I'd like it to be true as, after a brief flirtation with Grey Knights, my lvoe for Dark Angels has been rekindled. I even think i can do a decent greenwing force.

Nonsense! Subsist on a diet of bread and water instead, get in touch with your monastic battle force.. You certainly need it to shoo away the chaos temptations. xD

Since i dont have the option monastic diet for me it is!

If the BT rumors are false, then, perhaps, we have been spared the horror of Sword Brethren with stupid DA-esque rules and some fancy squad called Knights of the Inner Circle I heard mentioned

Anyway, i am excited for this codex. and having us as the starter set. I hope that we will recieve the love this year

This could be complete coincidence, but it seems like the Land Raider Ares construction article has been taken off the GW website...

With luck the Ares WON'T ever find its way into an official DA codex release. Nathan Bishop really missed the mark in my opinion, but then that just MHO, YMMV.

Yeah true, I'd much rather see a Damocles Rhino... that would be awesome.
