Captain Artemis
Okay, so I have had some thoughts about trying to get into Space Wolves, as they can go both Shooty and Melee. I thought of getting the Battleforce at some point, as it gives me: 20 Space Marines 5 Scouts and a Drop-pod After that, what's next? Any ideas and pointers for a good balanced list of 1000pts? I guess I'm a sucker for melee as I love the chainswords. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/246390-good-start-point-for-space-wolves/ Share on other sites
Karack Blackstone
Assembling most of your 20 PA Marines as Grey Hunters will assist you very well, as each has a BP, CCW, and BG base (Bolt Pistol, Chainsword, and a Boltgun). If you're willing to pick up another PA Box you will get more PA models, and can make two GH packs, a Devastator Box will aid you in Heavy weapons as well. Done right, there are bits that when assembled can make a decent Wolf Priest: Wolf head, wolf skull chest, wolf pelt back, wolf pelt legs, BP Right Arm, Left Arm can have a converted Crozius Arcanum, and the backpack is pretty well whatever you choose. The Runed Legs bit plus the Runic chestplate and any back, plus the twin wolf tails backpack can make a great WG "uniform;" however, some may frown on this. Razorback transport boxes will get you both a Razorback and a Rhino. For two bucks more, it's well worth it. Arez
also magnets:magentize the devastator arms so you can switch, magentize the razorback so you can go from Rhino to razorback when needed. hendrik
http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...howtopic=245936 http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...howtopic=245874 http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...howtopic=245333 and these are but a few in the first 5 pages of the forum. you'll also find the army list section of the forum containing a plentora of 1000 pts lists you can play with. basicly it comes down what style you want to play. if you're not intending to play droppodding you might aswell just get the regular marine battleforce and 2 space wolves pack boxes, this way you can equip 30-35 grey hunters, a wolf scout pack and a small skyclaws unit and a rhino. i mention 30-35 grey hunters since out of those 5 bodies you could easely make a runepriest, a wolf priest and maybe some wolf guard pack leaders Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/246390-good-start-point-for-space-wolves/#findComment-2981405 Share on other sites
