greatcrusade08
http://i708.photobucket.com/albums/ww87/greatcrusade08/001-18.jpg as you can see at the start hes only been undercoated in black. i think the first step will be to snap off his slotta bar and put him on a resin base. i also think ill do him blue with white shoulder pads as opposed to the other way around. Kaika87
I like the base, and the pose is cool, but I have to ask why you got a metal model, heh. I'll never touch another metal mini if I can help it. Kierdale
Looking good so far. A nice blue. And I totally understand about limited-gaming cash! Married here too...I swear it seems like I had more cash for modeling when I was a teen compared to now that I'm working! Helmet - Chapter blue with white stripe; Shoulder pads, backpack, gloves, and lower legs - White; Rest of armour - Chapter blue. I've got this same model in my bitz box, I'm planning on using this scheme on him when I get round to him. Jaigo
Well done! I like the color scheme and detailing a lot. Only, to be frank, the actual apothecary pack would do this model credit! I read you work with what you have available, and achieved an outstanding result. I envy your skill. greatcrusade08
Thanks Jaigo i did have the original pack a while ago, but in its use on the tabletop and transferring from bits box to bits box it went where all lost bits go to die.. probably in the bottom of my wifes handbag  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/246474-lpc-ultramarines-apothecary/#findComment-2994172 Share on other sites
ShinyRhino
Nice work! I used the same model for my on-foot Apothecary. It's underrated! I painted mine in a similar manner, but with a white helmet. I was never a fan of the all-white scheme. Too much of a "shoot me first!" sign. Jaigo
probably in the bottom of my wifes handbag Who knows what happens in there. Chaos rules there and there are small warp rifts for sure. Bound to turn up when she pulls her purse on a vacation say 10 years from now...... only to get lost in your suitcase. Shadowstalker Grim
Really nice looking model, you've done a grand job! His belt looks like it has a heart as the centrepiece...and released so close to valentines day...perhaps he is the doctor of space marine love? lhg033
nicely done! my only critic, and its entirely personal preference, is that the white knee pad could do with a bit of detail on it, company marking perhaps? I have this model somewhere from the old command squad box set and still use him occasionally along with the techmarine and sergent when i actually have time to play - married with two kids so time/funds is limited here too though i cant justify sending on models anway as i have several projects going back probably 5+ years that i need to complete. one day.... one day i'll have time to do these things! Kierdale
Nice! Lovely highlighting. I admit I had to do a double-take when I noticed the heart belt-buckle too. Never noticed it on there before. Looks good! Have you already done the rest of the command squad? greatcrusade08
thanks for the feedback guys. I wasnt sure on the company markings yet, my MK2 scouts only have markings on the sergeants, as he is technically a vet i might get round to giving him the full set, but ill wait until the rest of the squad is done. Have you already done the rest of the command squad? yes and no, ive built two different setts and canabalised them for other projects, i cant seem to get the right combination of wargear to compliment my scout army tbh. one day ill find it and can put them to rest Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/246474-lpc-ultramarines-apothecary/#findComment-2995096 Share on other sites
