Chaplain Entropus
Time for the LPC challenge! Rather than starting new boxes or new kits, I'm aiming to put to use all the remaining chaos stuff I have, which isn't much. Behold, what I'll be working with: All tallied, I have enough bits and pieces for four berserkers, and four terminators, along with the set of three easy-snap standard chaos marines, and the husk of a loyalist rhino. But that is not my vow. No, that rhino shall become a vindicator. And somehow, a nice counts-as conversion of Khârn will appear. Yes, those few arms down there, are ork arms. Because ork arms are actually almost perfectly scaled for terminator legs and torso. Khârn will be "True scaled" out of one of the Terminator bodies. B) True progress begins tomorrow. The.Latros.Sacrum
Now this sounds interesting!Good luck Chaplain Entropus! I agree. I agree, also. Have you developed a background story to the Dragons of Bronze? What colour/s is your new Warband going to be (Im guessing bronze)? Chaplain Entropus
Ah, ever the way of things. Say I'll have an update the following day, and Real Life takes a left turn. Not as much progress as I like, a little later than I'd like, but still, Updates! Starting to get the Zerkers together: Alpha Legion shoulders for the nice dragonhead design: The basic push-fit guys, horns all trimmed off. I'm not much of a fan of the usual chaos horns, or the "bunny ears" of Khorne zerkers. I debated modding these guys the way I'm planning for the zerkers, but decided to just make them more standard. And a quick shot of one modified backpack, I want them to look more recently fallen, so for the zerkers I'll use regular SM backpacks. No extras, though, so I'll be removing the extra off the chaos backpack, and making them match. Have you developed a background story to the Dragons of Bronze? What colour/s is your new Warband going to be (Im guessing bronze)? The.Latros.Sacrum I don't have much of a backstory built for them. The general concept is a Dragon theme, Ultramarine chapter fallen to Khorne. Ultramarine for no other reason than I decided to have a counts-as Khârn character named Brutus. Which fits with the whole greco-roman theme. As for color scheme and all, Bronze with Blue trim. I did an 8 man squad of zerkers, and a squad of demon-sisters as Havocs for the Call of Chaos IV: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/246562-lpc-2012-dragons-of-bronze/#findComment-2987907 Share on other sites
The.Latros.Sacrum
Wow, those are some very insteresting loking helmets! I like your fallen Ultramarine/dragon theme, would make for a cool background story. Perhaps one of the Chaos gods appeared to these break-away Ultramarines in the form of a warped dragon, whence why they "worship" and taken the theme of the dragon?? Perhaps one of the Chaos gods appeared to these break-away Ultramarines in the form of a warped dragon, whence why they "worship" and taken the theme of the dragon?? The.Latros.Sacrum Finally, a little bit o' progress. The helmets on those were hand done. Added a face plate, and sculpted on the head crest. I'm going to do that again for the four zerkers, but haven't gotten that done yet. On to the progress! The three snap together basic guys: Two of the zerkers: Two of Three Backpacks on the Snap togethers. These started out as the standard chaos backpacks. And conversion progress! Need to sculpt on the upsized groin section, and bring down the ribs a bit. Then to the back of the legs. The cabling on the torso is actual wire coiled up, and pressed partly flat.
