Grey Mage
The reason BCs are a better place for a Wolf Priest than GHs is twofold: Firstly, it overcomes their headstrong rule, wich is great. Secondly, and more importantly, their higher number of attacks means you get more mileage out of oath of war- thus killing more of their enemies, wich they need because thats their protection. We cant up their WS to keep them from getting hit- but we can kill the enemy so hard they dont swing back again. hendrik
if you want an assault based unit just take wolfguard with boltpistols and CCW's instead of bloodclaws, on the charge they have just as many attacks (atleast if it's a 10 man unit), but for only 3pts more they gain +1WS and +1attack in the following turns. honestly, just standard power armoured wolf guard rock as an assault based unit. the fact that theyu aren't scoring isn't that important since in my opinion an assault unit rarely scores an objective but instead either gets destoryed in the progress of tearing through your opponents army or ends up contesting one.
