Russ Brother 92
Wait a minute, brothers!!! ... What exactly is the everpyre??? :) it is the fire that burns eternally at the heart of the Aett, a place for drinking, telling of tall (or short) tales and somewhere to relax with brothers/sisters no matter their lineage with a nice tankard of mead, or a mug of Mjod. Ethzor
I am Ethzor, "short-time-lurker", 3 year old Wolf player and I'm a Blood Claw! As I've said, I'm still very new to the game, got in it when my friends took up the game again about 3 years ago. I tryed it out with my friends SM armie and I was hooked at the start. It wasn't long before I was sitting on needles waiting for my first pack of wolves, mayby I'm crazy but since I started playing, I've already managed to collect a Space Wolves force about 5-5½k pts strong where one part of it is a semi functional Logan Wing, I've managed to collect 2k Chaos Marines, started a Beastmen army for WHFB, and are still thinking that I need to order "just" a few more Space Wolves boxes. My painting is still just table-top standard but I see alot of improvement from my first painted GH models. I am Ethzor, Pack Leader of Bargar Thunderhowl's Great Company and I am a Blood Claw! Max_Dammit
My name is Max_Dammit, I'm a bloodclaw when it comes to gaming as i have but a max of 20 games under my belt, I do however live and breath Spacewolves ever since i bought a citidal catalog with bjorn on the first page, I did not get in to gaming at that time as a friend of mine tryed to get me in to magic and i did that for a while but once i bought the first starter box about 12 years ago i'v only ever painted spacewolfs (and a 1500 pt nid army i dumped somewhere on my attic) I dont say much but the things i say must have had some value as to be promoted to the ranks of wolfpriest. So sit my brothers and tell me with your tales so i can remember them and recite them to the venerable's. Loken86
My name is Loken Thunderhowl of Bulvyes 13th company and like many of that company Im a Wulfen. I'm 25 and have 2 young pups i have a loving girlfriend who fully understands my obcession with 40k and incourages me. I started playing 40k bout halfway through 4th ed and loved the look of the space wolves however i was sadly suckered into buying and collecting normal marines :P since then ive collected necrons and tried my hand as chaos night lords but i was never happy with them and i soon forgot about my interest in the wolves. Then bout 4 weeks ago I was reading Tales of Heresy and came across the story of Wolves at the door and wanted to start a wolf army i borrowed my friends EOT codex and began researching everything i can about the 13th co. Well thats a little about me i guess you'ed call me a whelp but be warned i do have fangs lol For Bulvye, For the Wolf King and the Allfather Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/246586-the-everpyre/page/2/#findComment-2986620 Share on other sites
Ironwulf
Greetings Wolf-brothren (and sisters, too), I stand before you in the firelight as Ironwulf, and I am an Iron Priest. I've played WH40K in it's various incarnations since early Rogue Trader days. A good friend of mine was introducing several friends to the game, and gave me a couple of squads of RTB01 marines (plus a few extras), painted in Space Wolves colors. This meant "Neutral Gray" at the time, before the introduction of the concept of Wolf Lords, Grey Hunters, and the stuff that really started to give our chapter the real style that it currently has... I remember it well to this day. He said, "These guys have fangs... You'll like 'em!" He was not wrong... After that, I was so pleased when there were specific models that brought forth the individualization of each Space Wolves unit and characters, right before 2nd edition was released. Like so many others, I painted several units in Blackmane company simply because it was so much easier to use those transfers that were provided. Later during 2nd edition, I decided to use Ironwulf company, as it was likely to be less used than a few of the other Great Companies, simply for the fact that there were no transfers available at the time (although there was the insignia presented in that 2nd edition codex). I started with Wolf Lord Egil Ironwulf because I thought it had an appropriately norse-sounding name. Later, with the release of SW Codex for 3rd edition, I was pleasantly surprised that GW thought that name sounded appropriate as well, and had Egil listed amongst the 12 Wolf Lords of the various great companies. At the first Chicago Grand Tournament in 1998, I was awarded Best Painted Army with my selections of Egil Ironwulf's Great Company. In an effort to do something different with my Space Wolves, I hit upon the idea --Who better to lead my army into battle than myself? With that in mind, I modeled Wolf Lord Egil Ironwulf to be a representation of myself in powered armor. At the time before the tournament, I had long blond hair, so I decided that it was appropriate for Egil to echo that style. It turned out being a surprise hit of the tourney for me. I've been a member of the B&C since it's first incarnation on the old EZ boards, and have the t-shirt to prove it. I transferred over fairly soon after the switchover was announced, in 2002. These days, I see myself as an Iron Priest, as I am rarely a player of the game these days. (I haven't actually played 40k since 3rd edition. Ouch.) However, my Wolves are still my favorite miniatures to paint and convert; and I also buy all the appropriate codexes (or is that supposed to be "codeci"? I dunno.) As a painter, I have earned 4 Demons so far (1 Gold, 2 Silver, and one Bronze) and I have consistently made the "first cut" with several Golden Demon entries. I am not the best painter in the world, but I am still learning, and still striving to make my minis look better. PupLord
Brothers (and sisters?). I am Pup. I am a whelp. A Lurker. And many things more. I prefer to stay in the shadows. It has been said by my pack brothers that my demeanour would be better suited in Erik Morkai's Great Company but I prefer to serve Lord Krom Dragongaze. I am fairly new to 40k. I have, however, a little more than 17 years of experience in Warhammer Fantasy under my belt. I am a painter and a collector. I would like to be a gamer as well but finding sufficient time proves to be challenging. That just means I appreciate the occasional tactical debate every now and then even more! Hopefully my insight into playing Fantasy will prove to be a boon to Lord Krom's battles wherever his Wyrd will take him. I am a Space Wolf through and through. Krom's Great Company, or rather my take on it, is in the works. I will share the results when I have something to show. I am Pup and I'm a Warhammeraholic. And a whelp. -Pup Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/246586-the-everpyre/page/2/#findComment-2990946 Share on other sites
Deathshroud
I am Deathshroud. From my name, you can easily tell I come from a troubled and chaotic past, pun intended. At one point I had roughly 25k points of plague ridden heretics, but after a 6 month hiatus from our hobby and gaming all together I have returned. Banishing Chaos from my life. Humbled and focused and finally, at home. Home in the Fang where so quickly I can tell is where I was meant to be all along. I am but a young pup learning the ways of the Wolf and falling deeper in love with it at every passing minute! My welcome here will be cherished. I have been engulfed within the world of 40k since the year 1999 and have yet to play a proper game, which makes me hang my head in shame. A bit of a Lone Wolf.. Though it hasn't always been my choice, whether I've had no one to play with or was without the proper time to have a game. I want to change that quickly! Obsessed with modeling and converting and getting completely lost in the creation, the lore, the syllables we base our passion on. With this new moon, I am inspired like never before and ready to serve Russ with an all loving heart! I look forward to learning as much as possible and not only creating army lists but actually putting them to good use and often at that! With the help of my brothers here in the Fang I know these thoughts will become reality. I'm 30 years young and work at a Nuclear Power Plant way too many hours a week. I am a competent modeller and fair painter, thought I don't have much experience painting "clean" I am looking forward to tackling my Great Company and making you all proud. I too will refuse to have babyblue Wolves! I'm in the works of building my Great Company now, reading as much fluff as I can get my paws on and wanting more! The Fang has already inspired me, humbled me further and made me feel as welcomed as any warrior could. So thank you brothers. I raise my ale to you all!
