Reloading my Blood Angels

Hello fellow brothers! It was a long time since I've been to B&C :( Deus Ex, Dark Souls and Skyrim addiction is over, my studies are over once and for all and my work once again returned to normal pace :P

So right after the Christmas holidays I resumed my beloved Blood Angels army, and now it's time I showed you what I did.

Although I didn't paint any miniature for more than half a year, I think my painting skills are not lost and although these two fellas consumed an awful lot of my time I'm very happy with the result. But enough talking, here they are:

And here's the guy I'm currently working on - it's my Sarge for the tactical squad.

Thanks for reading this, and as always I'd be glad to recieve any critics and comments! B)

Cheers! :D

Yeah, the chest is from baal pred set indeed, as well as the head.

As for the red, I use Vallejo Bermellon Red, all other paints are from GW. I use Vallojo as there was no Blood Red at my LGS when I bought paints, and I have a hughe stock of Vallejo red :P

I undercoat the model with Chaos Black, than apply a 1:1 mix of Skull White and Bermellon Red, and only them paint the model red. Afther that I wash the model with 1:1:1 mix of Baal Red, Gryphonne Sephia and Matt Varnish. I also do blending on plain parts of armor, for which I use 1:1 mix of Bermellon Red and Blazing Orange.

The red actually is a bit darker, but the camera's flash makes it brighter.
