Good Day All,

Recently added another squad to my third company (One Tactical Squad and 2 each Assault and Devastator squads left before I will have the full company)

What do you think about the sculpted helmet:

I wasn't sure when it was still green stuff, but I think it turned out ok.

Opinions?

Very Respectfully,

Fantastic job all round, love the scultping, poses and painting. The best thing for me is that although each marine is individually well executed the details you have added really tie the squad together, so not only is each model excellent but the unit as a whole looks like a military unit too. Nice work!

Good Evening Friends,

Some more pictures of my Unforgiven.

Here we have the 6th Squad of third company. This marks all 6 of the Tactical Squads.

Close up shots:

And the two squads together:

There was some shifting of assignment from the last pictures, as there were a lot of bare heads in one squad over the other. Squad numbers were changed.

  • 2 weeks later...

Here is the addition of a devastator squad for my Dark Angels.

I should have a Damocles Rhino conversion coming down the pipe soon, and a whole mess of character types.

In a word....orgasmic! I love the freehand laurels on some of the helmets, and you're very wise to make the boltgun casings black instead of red. I didn't even notice the greenstuffed helmet until you mentioned it, so it looks natural...and once I looked at it, it looked awesome. The freehand squad markings are very nice, and the freehand wings on the opposite shoulders (lazy bastards at citadel!) make it impossible to tell that the swords are molded and the wings are merely painted. Bravo!

...I will mock you for being so lazy as to do the 3rd company, as opposed to the middling 5th or the diffiucult 4th, though. Your superior freehand painting skills absolutely BEG for you to have done the 4th company with it's checkered company badge!

I am two foot-slogging assault squads (with drop pods) away from having the entire 3rd company.

I have a captain and two squads from the 5th Company assembled and have converted some combi plasma wielding company vets/sternguard

I also have some 4th company models.

I will have at least one squad from all of the battle companies (AND all of the successor chapters)

My dream of 1,000 Astartes has begun.

Very Respectfully,
