Kuma Khan
Hey everyone, In the past I have played the 2nd and 3rd edition of Warhammer 40k using the good ol' Space Marines. After highschool Warhammer sort of faded away, though for years now I have tried to make a new army to play again. Alas I am a slow painter but now that there are more options for lists with a low unit count I might actually get to playing again at some point. I've gone for a Grey Knights Draigowing that currently consists of 1 Draigo, 1 Librarian, 10 Paladins and 1 Dreadknight. That at least even I should be able to get finished. All the footsloggers airbrush basecoated in Vallejo whiteprimer followed by a mix of boltgun metal / glaze medium / thinner. http://i44.tinypic.com/ncmqdz.png A new terminator next to an old terminator I painted years and years ago. I still have the box of 5 which may or may not end up in the army at some point. The old models are quite nice. http://i39.tinypic.com/javxh3.png Now for some work in progress painting. I suppose it's not the best way to go by starting on the detailed special characters first but I just can't help myself. I started on the Librarian first. This is how far I've gotten so far. http://i41.tinypic.com/346pyzp.png Feedback is most welcome :). Kuma Khan
hi brother kuma khan i like the silver on your gk have you got a recipe for it as i love how it has turned out thanks and keep up the grate work Primer (Airbrushed): - 3/1/1 mix of Vallejo Game Color: White Primer, Vallejo: Thinner Medium & Water Layer #1 (Airbrushed): - 3/3/1/1 mix of GW: Boltgun Metal, Vallejo: Glaze Medium, Vallejo: Thinner Medium & Water Layer #2 (Airbrushed): Zenithal highlight - 3/3/1/1 mix of GW: Chainmail, Vallejo: Glaze Medium, Vallejo: Thinner Medium & Water Shadow #1: 10/1/2/2 mix of GW Wash: Asurmen Blue, Vallejo: Glaze Medium, Vallejo: Thinner Medium & Water Shadow #2: Add another 5 to 10 parts of GW Wash: Badab Black to the Shadow #1 mix. Highlight #1: This one is to bring back some shine after the layers of shadows. - 3/3/1/1 mix of GW: Chainmail, Vallejo: Glaze Medium, Vallejo: Thinner Medium & Water The shadows were done through pushing to paint where I wanted them, same as the highlight. Thats it for now as that is about as far as I've gotten with the librarian. I hope it's clear enough ^_^. If not let me know.
