LPC Vow - Sons of the Sword

Recommended Posts

So this is my Wip thread for my LPC Vow,

I've gathered everything together and have also started painting some other paints.

Count as Pedro Kantor - He's basically done apart from the scrolls and storm bolter.

Vindicator - I've recently discovered the painful job of painting tanks.

Sternguard squad

And whole LPC shot

Let me know what you think and thanks for looking!

I know it's not to do with my LPC but I've been busy putting a few models together;

So comes the pull of the new army again

Minotaur:

And then a Fire Angel to be:

Again, tell me what you think and any advice is appreciated =]

Cheers!

Nice poses of the Minotaur and the Fire Angel. Are eh walking legs from the Space Wolves sprue?

Really liking the look of your LPC stuff as well, especially the combi-meltas. How did you get that marine (2nd from the left) to hold it the other way?

Yeah, the fire angel has Space Wolf legs have have, I can see, been badly cleared of the Space Wolf insignia.

The left handed marine was made by using the left arm that's normally used for the missile launcher with a left handed bolt pistol hand stuck on and then the pistol replaced with a regular bolter.

The other arm is the regular left arm used from a pair of bolter arms that has had the hand cut off and the thumb switched over and the arm has been use away from the shoulder and twisted round to look more natural.

The only part of this that is really difficult is getting the supporting arm fitted to the hand when it's holding the bolter but a little greenstuff sorts that out.

How that makes sense...

The credit for the parts used isn't mine and I'll find out who deserves it as I'm just a messenger but can't currently remember who I asked about it before :)

  • 4 weeks later...

Bit of an update here, I've decided that I don't want to do a total DIY chapter but instead a crusade as I always find there's so many chapters I want to paint.

So with that said, the Sternguard and Dreadnought part of my vow will be Iron Hands as I've always liked the way Rev painted his over on Warseer and wanted to try my hand at it.

So without further a do, here's my Iron hands Dreadnought, nearly finished apart from the claw.

Sorry about the bad picture, I dropped my camera the other day and can't see the screen -.-

Thanks for looking!
