Got one of these a recently so here's where it's at so far. Great model I reckon, for those that don't like the bubble top look away now.

Main changes were adding a layer under the turret to raise it slightly and hinging the top hatch. The large suitcase handle on the top is so the hatch can be opened as I want the option of putting a marine there.

I just ordered a Deimos Rhino, its somewhere over the Atlantic at the moment. I'm gonna be converting it into a razorback as a transport for my one of my tactical squads. Its good to see photos other than the forge world ones.

hey that is cool, i like the round top, it would definately stand out on a table top w/ others of its ilk. Did you make the turret or order it? and if you ordered it can you let the uninformed (like me) know where you got it?

EDIT: Never mind, ignore my post, all i had to do was look at the expensive place, forgeowrld..... im an idiot...... thanks anyway. I still like those rhinos/preds lol

it's actually cheaper for me to buy the lovely deimos pattern predators off of forgeworld than it is to buy a predator at retail here in aus, a pitty I already have all the predators that I'd want otherwise I'd be snapping up a bunch of these beauties.

indeed nice to see some pictures other than forgeworlds, especially when theres such attention to detail

on a side note i cant help but to think it would be very easy to simply buy the upgrade kit and then scratchbuild the few spots of rhino chassies that shows through the FW parts

@ Nym..alas Deimos is pre heresy pattern and razorback is actually a post heresy vehicle..

that's why chaos warbands can't field it and FW ain't made a DEIMOS RB yet..

Just to be BG coherent of course.. :)

I just couldn't resist the temptation to try it out. The Deimos reminds me a lot of the 2nd edition chassis (for obvious reasons) so I wanted to have a progression of vehicles from the 2nd edition chassis to the current variants albeit out of order (but appearance wise it works). It's just a hard leap for me from the tiny 2nd edition chassis to the current design.

They haven't released an upgrade kit yet but I suppose you could buy the complete kit and then sell the rhino that comes with it just leaving the resin parts to play with. You'd need to source some tracks though as well as build the hull.

Thanks, one of the reasons I decided to post these was the lack of non FW ones. Will you be adding handrails to your razorback like the original mkI?

This is something I really want to get at FW but sadly money doesn't grow on trees. I cannot wait to see it painting and look forward to it, no matter what color you do. FW I think has done an excellent job of bringing back some of those old looks that the new models just dont have. /endtripdownmemorylane

Wow that thing has a face only a mother could love. But you sir have done it justice. All those little extra detail bits definatley help this monstrosity be less fugly! Im actually looking forward to seeing this painted. Where did you get the turn handle on the inside of the hatch?

Cheers mate. The "handle" is a steering wheel off an old model; a 1/72 scale sdkfz 7, possibly Esci but I don't recall. I've since seen that handles like this turn arms which are what engage the locks so I'll probably add these with either thin plastruct rod or twist tie wire. I'm hoping to paint it this weekend and I'm looking forward to seeing it with tracks on it myself.

Busy weekend so didn't get to do as much as I'd hoped. Model is essentially finished constructionwise and primed.

Added smoke launchers, missile launcher and heavy bolters as well as converting the back of the hull.
