battlebeats
So I have a tactic I want to use for some funny battles with a few friends. Now wolf guard unit comp is 3-5, I want to know if I can have 2 wolf guard and one wolf guard battle leader? Looking into the battle leader he is listed on the wolf guard page in my codex and has the name in his title. Yes this is a bad comp but it's for :cusss'n giggles Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/246884-wolf-guard-help/ Share on other sites
Jonas Stromclaw
No. The wolf guard battle leader is a separate unit and cannot be taken as part of the minimum numbers requirement for a wolf guard pack. You can take the minimum wolf guards (3) split one off as a pack leader and then stick the WGBL with the remaining two guys if you want to. What exactly is the purpose of doing this? (i.e. more specific than 'for giggles') Oh, and wolf guard packs are 3-10, not 5 if memory serves. I'm not going senile, am I? battlebeats
You are correct it is 3-10 my bad, Just wrote this up quick as we are building out lists atm. Wanted to drop pod Logan grimnar, battle leader, ulric, and 2 wildfires in term. Armor in the face of their hq. More or less because my buddy plays blood angels and has the sanguinor, asteroth, and some other ridiculous elites that will be able to assault me before I'm able due to jump packs. Russ Brother 92
for that I'd suggest take Logan - Arjac, TDAWG, Ulrik and a Dread - give 1 TDAWG combi-meltas/wolf claws, give the other PA + SS/TH (means they have frag/krak nades), give the dread an assault cannon or multi-melta with DCCW + heavy flamer - give another GH unit a pod and then drop the two with grimnar&co. and dread in on 1st turn  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/246884-wolf-guard-help/#findComment-2988750 Share on other sites
