Just a DC dred with magnets added in the feet & hull. Back in the day I worked up a reverse Valkyrie raven but really didn't like how it turned out. I have some ideas for a, "repositioned" raven with the stock kit. That will be my follow-up to this guy.

Comments always welcome. I expect to post more over the weekend. Cheers, -OMG

The base looks great! It's hard to believe that you achieved that from a white foundation, I find especially metal colours look wrong on white...but well done by all means! Is that sign from the booby trap blister by GW? Very fitting.

I like where this is going, the bits from the venerable dread kit look good on the dread, however I'm not sold on the claw-fist finger thingy...what parts did you build that from, if I may ask?

Excited to see some updates!

PS: Oh, and I agree on the valkyrie-pattern Stormraven...looks more like a flying brick than the original indeed!

So why isnt this your LPC vow for our forum again???

It was submitted after the deadline I'm afraid. Life circumstances and LPC vow deadlines didn't agree in this case. Not that you brothers need any help from me.

I once did all my painting from a black foundation but I found it was really difficult to get the brighter colors to turn out bright enough. The white undercoat give me a quick and easy path to a highlight even when working with a dark subject like this one. The model is really just a kit bash between the Furi/DC/Lib dread & the Venerable so even most of the extra embellishments are plastic ven dread bits. The left hand is then the more human like hand from the ven with the blades from the DC dread kit. And what? You don't like the obvious similarities to wolverine and/or (any random pesky) ninja imagery? I already did a karate posed Dread so I didn't need a second one but that certainly would have been in order.

And yes, the sign bit is from the Mines, Bombs & Booby Traps - but it came in a box when I bought it.

Cheers gents. Thanks for the comments. -OMG

Wish I could played vs. your BA when i visited!! Woudl have been an honour!

You make it sound like my other armies are dismal. :) Regardless, I remain secure in my modeling. <*big sigh*> Mort, I'm sure there will be another opportunity. Consider the pa gauntlet dropped.

And thanks for the comments gents. -OMG
