And, think about the ramifications of a sentient xenos having control over where we deploy.

It kind of gels with the 'deal' that the Lion may or may not have made with cabal/watchers/other ooniverse powers. Hence his 'guilt'.

What is the motivation of the device that it saw us as it's saviour? Who else is it aligned with? What does the Lion really know about it?

Why do we perpetuate this speculation? MUAHAHA

Tuchulcha said that the only being to ever scare it was the Lion. Assuming this wasn't just BS, perhaps the Lion has some way to ensure the device does his bidding and won't try to go rogue.

Also... ever wondered how it is that the Lion could be transported to a secret chamber in the Rock that no one knows about? I suppose I've always assumed it was the Watchers, but perhaps we have another means of transportation to consider. And I imagine something that can instantly move objects into the warp would also be pretty good at tearing a planet apart...

All right, just gonna say it now: Tuchulcha is OP! :D

Probably akin to a non-DA fan saying that the Fallen should be revealed to be the ones who are REALLY the loyalists and the DAs are the traitors.

You know i've often thought "What if...", thinking that maybe the green armour came from Luther's marines who had sworn themselves to Caliban. Cypher is actually loyal and trying to return the Lions sword, expose the truth about the whole thing and destroy the Dark Angels continuing by wrecking gene seed etc. I don't think any of it really fits though with Luther being held in stasis and it borders on Alpha Legion esque sabotage so I gave up thinking of ridiculous reasons it could work.

There's some interesting stuff coming out of this story though, i'm looking forward to reading it in full as i've resisted the rest of the teaser parts so far.

perhaps this reflects the fact that the Lion would be one person who would not use it for personal glory and hence may destroy it rather than abuse it.... that may be why it feared the Lion.. after all the Lion does appear to accept that no one would replace the emperor and is apparently ready to let his gegion be destroyed to ensure no one does so..

If we follow that Tul. is still in our possession/use in 40k, and that the Lion is out of the picture there must be a pretty strong agreement for Tul. to keep assisting us. Moreso than an implied threat of destruction.

I'm thinking we are about to get a craptonne more depth to our backstory regarding the level of secrets and dealings at Azzy's and the inner Circles' level.

I'm thinking the Lion made some sort of a deal with the Cabal, similar to what the Alpha Legion have, to keep the galactic balance etc. despite what that means to the Imperium as a whole.

I think we are just keeping that deal a bit better than they (AL) do.

Conspiracies, conspiracies, conspiracies :D

Edit: On the topic of the Lions' distrust of RG, I'd say that was fairly expected. In defence of Girlyman though, I believe his 'vision' to create primarch led mini empires that show fealty to the Big E was/is unique among the primarchs. While the rest expected the crusades to last for ever or wondered what they will do afterward, RG actually had a plan.

I think the Lions (very subtly) implied 'deal' has caused him to reject RGs as they aren't compatable. RGs plan does not help the 'balance' sought by the Cabal/Watchers etc.

It is going to be fun seeing where thay take us, I'm hoping deeper into darkness and secrets and away from the simplistic Imperial 'light'.

The Lion is grimdark enough to give the thing pause.End of story :)

However my speculation is that our household pockemon....ahem sorry, watchers i mean watchers...are fully capable of psionicaly containing the device if needed be.

On the remark about us been traitors.Highly unlikely but i like the point raised that we are the end of the scale compared to the Alpha Legion. Also remember that we have nothing to do with chaos and we 'redeem' chaos tainted fallen.
