VonMerrick
I've been away from the game for the past 2+ years and wanted to know when Morkai's symbol changed. I see now that its a red field in the center of the two wolf heads. Does this mean the black decal that comes with miniatures is no longer cannon? I envisioned the black symbol to be the standard rank and file symbol while the new one with the red reserved for the Lord himself and select Wolfguard. Basically I'm into the fluff for 40k and strive to have a lot of my markings fit the current background, so whats the current outlook on his symbol? Ethzor
The one in the codex is white field with a red dot thats partially coverd by the twin-wolfhead. Marmande
I think that's just a bit of artistic flair added to the symbol; you should have no trouble using the decals. Wulfebane
IMO the colors aren't as important. It's the exactness of the emblem that matters, I think. For instance, the cover of BotF has the Morkai emblem in all red: http://www.blacklibrary.com/Images/Product/DefaultBL/xlarge/Battle-of-Fang.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/247150-erik-morkais-symbol/#findComment-2992158 Share on other sites
