miratupordonde
Next Saturday I'll be taking part in a torunament at my local gaming-club. I've already decided my list, and I'm dropping my Marshall with other 4 termis friends, including a Chaplain. It's the awesome and venerable miniature by Juan Díaz. http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2009/12/30/72944-Black%20Templars,%20Terminator%20Chaplain,%20Warhammer%2040,000.jpg I would like to paint it in a fancy way, preferably black, silver and gold. I haven't been able to find a proper tutorial to help me with my duty, specially regarding the black armour and the skull helmet. Any idea or help will be really appreciated, brothers  The Emperor protects! I shall keep you updated of my results in my 3 games, but I expect great things of Brother Titus and his Flagellum Haeretici crozius. Filthy Xenos and heretics shall be purged in the purifying and just fire of His justice! Roesor
Why does nio one ever use the staff crozius for this model? It looks badass >_< Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/247306-a-little-help-with-my-chaplain/#findComment-2994182 Share on other sites
High Templar Karith
Just go to your local GW and ask the guy for advice, or look at a couple of painting tutorials. Lautris
Flick through galleries and see what other people have done. Personally, I use trial and error, giving things a go and see if I like what comes out. High Templar Karith
Lautris has the right idea, muck around with a few spare models and see what you get. miratupordonde
ok, thanks. i'm starting a small project that might serve me well as good practice; i'm painting a space marine for each pre-heresy legion in their original colour scheme. so far i'm almost done with the imperial fists and the emperor's children... Marshal Reinhard
Do you need help with the painting itself or coming up with a scheme for him? For painting, i suggest checking out some tutorials online, there's a ton of them. Have you checked out The Black Templar Resource for painting black for instance? Schemes? Check out what other people have done for ideas. Again there's tons of stuff online. There are some here for example. Why does nio one ever use the staff crozius for this model? It looks badass >_< The mini only comes with one set of weapon arms, which is what people tend to use? Whith mine I got two pieces along with the mini in the blister which could be used to extend the crozius into a staff. Marshal Reinhard
That's interesting, i always figured those two were scrolls , rather than anything else Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/247306-a-little-help-with-my-chaplain/#findComment-2995306 Share on other sites
Roesor
That just happened to be exactly the same width as the Crozius and such o.o But yeah...maybe just scrolls or something else, regardless they make a Crozius Staff. Psykic_scribe
Using the scrolls might be a bit of a challenge for a gaming model. One pinned section would be OK, but when the staff is pinned twice it is more likely to snap. Have a look around in the websites of those companies advertising bits for sale, maybe even for a chaos sorcerer staff (to swap the head of course). The Bitz Store have always given me good sevice in UK, but there are plenty of others. Price per ounce of plastic is high but you will get a special result. My BT Termie chaplain is one of my favorite models. I'm sure yours will look impressive. PS; He's a Templar - buy him some more chains too ! :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/247306-a-little-help-with-my-chaplain/#findComment-2995472 Share on other sites
