Dark Angels Assault & Tactical Squads

Here are a couple of squads of Dark Angels that I have painted. I originally primed them white and then painted Dark Angels Green on the white base color and it did not look so good. I then decided to strip the models using Simple Green. I let them soak for about a day and then scrubbed all the old paint off. I rinsed the models off and let them dry.

I decided to make the base color Chaos Black with Dark Angels Green for the armor color. I used 50/50 Bleached Bone and Dark Angels Green for the highlights. I didn't start to notice any mold lines until after the models were finished and the water slide transfers went on good but I rushed around and did not give them a tight trim with the Exacto knife so I had to try and trim them down on the model. So next time I am going to work on clearing the mold lines before I start the painting process and trim the water slides down so the lay better on a surface.
