Grand Master Mordrak

Fielded Grand Master Vorth Mordrak tonight in a 2000 point list, he and 5 terminators deep struck turn one to a knot of enemies, 10 CSM Deflier 8Zerkers 1 psyker 10 Lesser Daemon, and LR he lost all 5 initial bodyguards, then over the course of FIVE assault phases killed 9 models and a Chaos sorcerer and gained 2 more bodyguards, who also killed 5-6? by turn 3 having being assaulted turn 1 he lost all guards and was reduced to 1 wound, over the course of those 5 rounds he saved an UNGODLY Amount of invuls ( failed one 4+ out of like 6) and armor saves(failed 2 out of maybe 17), this was a battle of pure legend, he held his own until help arrived turn 4 in the form of 20 strike Knights, for the most part however he held his own against a horde of chaos and lived swinging his hammer into them wiping droves out at a time, at the end of the Battle his unit had helped wipe the majority of his troop choices 3/4 and had secured 2 objectives. I had only played mordrak once before and had just recently modeled him with a nice oversized hammer. I have to say he is one of my favorite fluff characters and one of the least played, he is expensive with his Ghost knights but it all pays off when He tar pits 30 models for 4 turns and lives to tell the tale. The game Ended a victory for the knights but the chaos marines were close to a contest had it gone on.
