drbro1228
Hello B&C. I'm currently assembling two land speeders for my black Templar army. Now, this will be the first time ever assembling a land speeder so I'm not sure what to expect. What is the best way to assemble these to make painting easier. Can i fully assemble them, or partially assemble? I will be using an airbrush if that changes anything. thanks, Drbro Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/247428-best-way-to-assemble-a-land-speeder/ Share on other sites
Grotsmasha
I would fully assemble but leave the pilot and gunner seperate for painting. For mine I never attach the gunner so he can still swivel. RebG
Usually assemble the whole body and leave the Marines off as mentioned above. I also leave the front bumper/fender bit off as I usually want to paint behind it. With an airbrush though you might be ok getting in there. Paulochromis
the ravenwing battleforce box set speeder is still the old style, and you can end up with big gaps when assembling it. you may have seen photos of the model heavily wrapped in elastic bands. if this is what you have, i would NOT pre-paint, since you WILL need to fill those gaps. the newer models go together much better, so pre-painting IS an option. don't forget that a lot of internal detail never sees the light of day, unless you're turning it into a wreck.
